Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced data analysis skills and contribute to the optimisation of business operations through innovative solutions. The ideal applicant will have experience with a variety of data tools and methodologies, including Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and programming languages such as R and Python. This is a paid position suitable for both experienced professionals and interns seeking to develop their expertise in data analytics.

Responsibilities

Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Design and optimise database schemas using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational database systems.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data efficiently.
Utilise programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) for data processing and automation tasks.
Support project management activities by contributing to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
Conduct business analysis to determine data needs and recommend improvements for existing systems.
Create detailed documentation using Visio for system architecture, workflows, and processes.
Assist in database design projects ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimisation.

Requirements

Proven experience with data analysis tools including Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).
Strong understanding of SQL databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write advanced queries.
Knowledge of database design principles and optimisation techniques.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and project management practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
Experience in business analysis to identify key metrics and reporting needs.
Proficiency in analysing requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Ability to communicate findings effectively through visualisations and reports tailored for diverse audiences.
Organised with strong attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
