About the Organization:
Kalike is operating at Karnataka and Tamil Nadu state. Kalike Trust, an associate organization of Tata Trusts, has been working in North Karnataka since 2009. The pulse of our vision is to ensure holistic development and sustainable transformation that spans wide ranging areas of rural development and enterprise. Our interventions employ an integrated approach encompassing education, health, and livelihoods, with the intention of positively impacting overall human development. Kalike implements the Kanya Sampoorna project & Kanya Girls Education Program in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu with the funding of Titan company limited. The project encompasses a variety of interventions strategically placed throughout different life stages that allow the girl child to flourish. The interventions work in tandem with existing programs, bringing a special focus to the unique needs and challenges faced by girls.
Committed to educational initiatives, our organization has a proven track record of collaborating with the school education department. We have spearheaded comprehensive programs focusing on education, career guidance, and life skills for students and communities in Cuddalore District. Furthermore, we've driven educational development and infrastructure enhancement in schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in Tiruvannamalai District.
About the Projects: Kanya Sampoorna Project III & Kanya Girls Education Program
The Kanya Sampoorna Project and Kanya Girls Education Program are joint initiatives of Titan Company Limited and Kalike. Currently, the projects are being implemented in the Cuddalore District and Tiruvannamalai District districts of Tamil Nadu, with the aim of creating an inclusive environment for girls aged 11 to 18 years. The programs focus on enhancing their intellectual, physical, emotional, and social well-being, thereby contributing to sustainable community development and improved gender equality in Tamil Nadu.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Knowledge Management, Evaluation & Learning)
Job Summary:
M & E Officer, will oversee the MEL of the projects in Tamil Nadu, responsible for all data compilation, report generation and etc., And lead the process and manage all roles related to KMEL, such as finalization of operational and monitoring plans, design the form of monitoring and evaluation framework under the project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop a project performance and outcome monitoring framework (PMF).
· Assist the Project Manager in preparing quarterly implementation plans and budgets and carry out concurrent monitoring study every quarter to monitor and report progress and outcomes.
· Develop tools for outcome measurement with the support of technical officers to collect, analyze and prepare quarterly concurrent monitoring report for the report.
· Carry out assessments of children's learning to measure education interventions are contributing to increased learning outcome among children.
· Manage data collection through application software and mobile app for routine data base management.
· Undertake data quality audit and ensure high-quality data assurance system and regular follow up.
· Analyze MIS and other periodically collected data for quarterly review meeting, donor reporting, external communication.
· Facilitate regular collection, compilation and analysis of project data and ensure maintenance and updating of project MIS in consultation and with the support of several domain experts, stakeholders and volunteers working in the government.
· Ensure that the project front-line staff comply with the M&E requirement of the project.
· Support the Project Manager in analyzing data and taking appropriate decisions.
· Support in coordination and conduct of evaluation and assessments.
· Provide project-related data and information (including impact data) as required by the Project Manager.
· Align KMEL system as per the Kalike’s and donor MEL principles and standards.
· Prepare progress reports as required internally and for donor reporting, using inputs provided by the project team.
· Monitor and update the donor’s CSR portal as guided by the Donor and Program Manager
· Prepare context analysis write-ups for various kinds of reports and proposals emanating from the Kalike Programs.
· Develop the learning agenda and gather relevant data for Kalike Programs in consultation with the Project Manager and leading its roll-out.
· Design, lead and support data collection, aggregation, validation, analysis and reporting in formats and dashboards.
· Conduct or/ and support conduct of studies / research in various relevant thematic areas, and involving project team, interns and/or resource organizations.
· Package and disseminate project learning for various internal and external audiences to achieve specific and strategic objectives.
· Support the program team in quality reporting and documentation by verifying the technical content of reports, publication, and other knowledge tools.
· Build capacities of staff on relevant data quality assurance mechanism.
Others:
· Perform any other task assigned by the line manager as per organizational requirement.
· Contribute to ensure visibility of project efforts and achievements on various internal (e.g., KALIKE's website, blogs, Annual Report and etc.,) and external platforms / for a (publications, workshops/seminars, journals.)
