Expert in test automation, CI/CD integration, and quality governance, with a strong ability to mentor teams and partner with engineering leadership to deliver scalable, reliable, and high‑quality software products.
Job Description:
The Principal Quality Assurance professional is a senior individual contributor and quality leader responsible for defining quality vision, strategies, and technical frameworks across multiple products or platforms. This role owns end‑to‑end quality oversight, including test architecture, automation strategy, non‑functional testing, and release readiness.
The Principal QA collaborates with engineering, architecture, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality early in the development lifecycle, drive continuous improvement, and ensure predictable, high‑confidence releases. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence at a strategic level while remaining hands‑on when needed.
Key Deliverables:
Quality Strategy & Governance
- Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for leadership visibility
- Drive shift‑left testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Test Architecture & Automation
- Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (UI, API, Client side)
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Evaluate and introduce tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve efficiency
Technical Leadership
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for complex quality, testability, and release challenges
- Lead root cause analysis for critical production issues
- Ensure coverage of functional, integration, security, and reliability testing
Collaboration & Influence
- Partner with Product, UX, and DevOps leaders to drive quality ownership
- Participate in architectural and design reviews from a quality perspective
- Influence release decisions based on risk assessment and quality readiness
Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor senior and mid‑level QA engineers
- Raise overall QA maturity across teams
- Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building
Required Skills:
Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium Webdriver, python – pycham, Protractor – node.js (For Angular JS))
- Solid programming/scripting skills ( Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- API, microservices, and distributed system testing expertise
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, etc.)
- Cloud exposure for AWS,AZURE, OCI
- Test data management and environment strategy
