The study on Performance Appraisal at BCCL has given me opportunity to have a closer look at the imperatives of the performance Appraisal System as a domain of HR delivery.
It has enhanced my knowledge as how an organization work and operates to perform its operations effectively and efficiently. The project has not only helped me to have close insight into the practical implication of business process but also the performance appraisal is done.
The summer project, also made me realize the importance of HR as a fascinating function in an organization. I got to know of the importance of communication and interpersonal skill in getting things done from others. In a nut shell, it was great learning for me as management student.
The wage structure and subjects regarding salary are determined and implemented by NCWA (National Coal Wage Agreement) under the Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industries.
In BCCL, some employees are satisfied and some are not satisfied with the wage and salary administration. Employees desire to increase the pay scale to the extent that they may be liable to compete to the increasing food inflation. The representative of workers also participates in the wage structure implementation to protect the interest of workers.

My work would involve tasks ranging from management of man power to operation & maintenance shifts, surveying & plant evaluation, Optimizing Jig parameters to obtain maximum yields would be the toughest as well as the most enjoyable part of the job. I would like to work in a challenging environment where I'd get the opportunities to apply my research skills & competence.

It is a large organization engaged in coal mining and processing. There is a lot to learn and grow if you are self-motivated. However, don't expect tangible benefits for outstanding performance. Promotions are time-bound. The structure is bureaucratic. Pay is decent but pretty low compared to your peers working in the private sector with the same year of experience. 

The company is full of knowledge and the parts they used for their working is very good and eco friendly.The workers are very friendly and helpful as they are always ready for the guidance.Mainly i have gained knowledge about the heavy vehicle engines and their working.

A considerable amount of work through team management and cross functional teams.Co-workers are knowledgeable and co-operative. Management is very understanding and accomodating

A typical day is relaxing here daily you will get a chance to explore something new about work. The culture is pretty cool here.
The enjoyable part is team work.

Work is challenging at the same time there is work life balance.

Seniors are supportive and motivating.

Typical works and challenging the current task are given. The tasks include handling the daily maintenance issues and avoiding the breakdowns.
