good brand value but less salary but good facility
I was glad to work on various projects in paints and resins, so it was like a real R&D and encouragement for new experiments, even mistakes were allowed, offcourse repeation of same mistake was not allowed.
but most offensive part was the admin person. he was from a defense background and most hated among all , he didnt allow anybody to use mobile at factory saying that those mobile radiation were harmful. and salary was less and market exposure was less.
but few bosses were very good and supportive and lot of same age friends were there and it helped few to find their life partners, so it was a good supportive environment, that was best part. at one point of time in bhandup , we were suppose to call receptionist for external call, that was totally no - no factor. i guess top management was not knowing this fact.
bhandup had a better canteen, food was not great but surely it was ok. timing was perfect. transport facility was available, that was nice.
Prossubsidy on food, almost free food, nice friends, encouragement for R&D
good experience for freshers like me to know more about the market world a little moe than we are taught in our university
For me,everyday was a different experience.Everyday we had to visit three clients sites and interact with them and give them the best suggestion for colours and design. At the end of the consultancy we would mail them all the colour details ex.highlighted texture wall or wallpaper wall and rest all wall colours. After a couple of days the customer would give me rating on how they liked my colour consultancy. In the second month i received the best colour consultancy title. We also provided vastu colour consultancy as in mumbai many hindu's would opt for it.Meet different kind of people and doing what im best at,that is designing was the most enjoyable part of my job.
Prosgot to experience different house types in mumbai, had many workshops arranged by ASIAN PAINTS, also got to visit Daman for ASIAN PAINTS conference.
Conssome customers would take a little too long to finalize colour shades, had to carry a bag weighing 20kg everyday
Culture is great , Support is maximum and Sales Pressure is never ending
I have worked in Asian Paints for 6 years , the best 6 years .
The work environment is super cool. The bosses who have been elevated from an officer are the backbone of Asian Paints Success.
Asian Paints has a respect not because we are the Biggest in Asian but because the employees make it worth with their service , commitment and smart attitude.
We receive support from the highest levels of Management whenever we need.
We dont know how it feels to loose business. We only know how to make profits .
We are paid well for starters and we are recognized for every achievement we achieve .
No matter how bad a manager is ( if any ) , the support to his team is at next level . He would do whatever it takes to pull his team guy out of the mess . Eg ( Be it closing a dealer counter for misbehavior , or fighting with his Peer for a good deserved rating , or even screw up the customer if he fails to respect ) Asian Paints is a place to work , Proud to be an Ex employee of this company .

It's a journey to be remembered for your entire life, my 1st organization, they don't just let you learn their own business but also builds the ethics in you, that will stay with you forever, you can utilise the skills earned throughout your life, best in class manufacturing units, equality in diversity. It's a dream job I'm honoured that I had been a part of it. Long live Asian Paints Limited, APL always stay in a mind as a good memory to be cherished this life time.
ProsFactory location - Free Lunch, Uniforms, Gifts on occasion, Employee engagement programs, lots of parties, lots of high class tools and techniques, not the last you will be working with brightest brains there, alumni of IIMs, IITs top B schools, and a grand family of APL
ConsGrowth a bit slow, Rest all okay, honestly if you have opportunity with APL better don't look for this section, it doesn't matter as other stuffs are way good
As a fresher its great job place but after spending 3 to 4 years its not as good for self development
Its great to have job in Asian Paints as Fresher as it is providing handsome salary as per first job is concerned and one can have great opportunity to learrn a lot.
On the other hand if I consider only Kasna Plant then there are following Drawbacks in APL:-
1. Fourth Grade Employees(operators) rule over plant having favor of plant located at their home town
2. Salary structure is not in Centrallised format
3. No quick growth in salary and designation
4. Every event in plant organised by keeping operators in mind
Some of the positive points
1) Company Provide insurance at various levels
2) Company Provide Fooding
there is lot to learn but its better to spend maximum 3 years as there is no promotion scenario
ProsFree Lunch, Medical Insurance
Consno growth in designation till 7 to 10 years
