Bad experience working with Capgemini, consider only if needed salary slip than carrer
I joined as a Carrer with Capgemini(IGATE). Good training provided as a fresher for 3 months. After training l1 exam posted to FS services project.
1. Work life balance is worst and depends on client, we should work in shifts with one way free cab facility and no shift allowance (depends on manager)
2. Deceits and appreciation given on contract basis
3. Capgemini is providing services to banking financial services but internal finance team is very bad
Eg: I joined as a fresher and after 1 year anniversary appraisal, got my appraisal completed and increased hike letter with 2 months delay and Capgemini paid 1 month salary more as "PERFORMANCE BONUS" and fooled all the employees stating it is paid by mistake and only arrear pay is paid and revoked transaction back
2. STUATORY BONUS: Given to employees for their best performance in project who was nominated by manager. But terms and conditions applied on this like employee has to stay in organisation for 1 year or else it will be taken back in final settlements
3. ARREAY PAY: Employee is paid variable pay for 3 months (Jan to Mar) in month of June and from March Capgemini updated new policy as arrear pay is not applicable from April 1 to certain grades of A B, and if employee resigned on next year of Jan the arrear pay of 1 year back is also revoked back
4. SHIFT ALLOWANCES: Employee is tagged with new time tracking application called Empulse where system has too many internal issues where it will track an e
ProsConsider only for better hike if experienced (Not good for freshers)
ConsNever expect hike, work more hours, don't ask for learning opportunities, appreciations on contract basis, Be aware of terms and conditions before getting appreciated by managers

Management always shouting, they treat you as a labour and not as an engineer. This is common here in CG that tech teams are being led by B com graduates. Threatening of putting you in PIP or destroying your career is common even in normal discussion so that you become bound to extend hours and work on holidays also. Hours what you extend will be noted by no one and it gets projected as your wish to extend but any day spending even 10 mins less becomes a performance issue.
CG is now a days talking all dirty projects from the market which mostly requires monitoring and rerunning the Job, They will ask you sit before system, You can't leave the system even for 5 mins apart from breakfast/lunch/dinner time. the duration of bf/lunch/dinner is also decided by them that it should not take more than 30 mins. If you have worked in any MNC, then you must be knowing the time required to reach Cafeteria, taking food token, waiting for them to prepare food only takes 20-25 mins approx.:D
At the time of interview they make dozen of promises but they all vanishes once you join the CG, nobody will be there to hear you, and every person will be asking you the proof of promises made to you. If any how you manage to show them the proof also they will stop listening to you for some time till you get relaxed and they will thereafter push you to some work profile which doesn't suit you and you will have zero learning opportunities.
In probation period they will expect you not to complain

pathetic, very political, always blame game to save individual job
nobody sharing knowledge
on any mistake there were huge escalations
I have always fear to be or not to be, better keep mum
I have no dare to mail or talk on mistake or issue
no system or root level understanding so always confuse how to tackle this problem
no open or free culture
daily evening there is blame game
daily fire-fighter position and after 1-2 month one or two people will be on notice or at least very bad feed back against them
need to be very pro-active and diplomatic while talking better to keep mum because they give more work after mistake and again you will do mistake because of more work pressure
everything is manual and huge process so never meet deadline
everybody try to save his job so putting GUN on others head, this is very cheap
contract employees gives wrong feedback to top management so they are not happy with workers like us
I want to quit capgemini asap not for money but need better atmosphere in other company where even I will do mistake I can not only learn but give some time to at least understand about what is happening and how can I improve at next level, boss should support me and not interested to kick me OFF from project
we are not upto the mark that I agree but doing best is not solution on this here better keep mum and put GUN on others head is culture here, so I always have fear about loosing job and daily food at lunch also unable to digest properly, we are going to lunch at anytime due to work pressure

ProsGood work place, Great colleagues, Lots of Learning opportunities
Professional and a fun loving workplace to work with CAPgemini and with my team.
A great cultured management where people tend us to learn more and do not discriminate if it is a junior or a senior.
For me a typical day in Capgemini was like a home to me where all team members are always ready to help each other in several ways.It may be during heavy workload or on a month end every one was exceeding his or her work hours and giving their time to close a month end.
Team members in a team were like a family in giving suggestions, handling others work without complaining on their log out time because the same happens when he or she goes on an emergency to handle some other work.
I have learnt much things on how Global process model works in a team when working in the system.
How they perform their duties handle calls and also I have attended many client calls with my manager to learn what new updates they give on a call and how to overcome critical things.
I have learnt from many of my mistakes and overcome from it as a succeeder.
The hardest part I would not say but yes a little tough part would be on a month end to handle when leads are busy or not able to attend office on a month end closing but still we have always learnt from them how to handle things when seniors are not on the floor.
I have always enjoyed working in this company but because I wanted to work in UAE for my future betterment I had to leave the team and that was the most hardest part for me.
ProsFree coupons from project for lunch, Team party in marriot, ibis and crown plaza evry 3 months.
ConsVery less percentage of hike in salary provided.

Good Oppurtunity as a Starter , Good Work Culture .
Started in 2011 as Senior Software Engineer as Campus fresher .
1 month of Training and directly diverted to project started.
Some difficulty arose while grasping the things and applying it but at last was able to cope up.
Was able to maintain KPI for both Mid year and Final Review of 3 out of 5.
Got Promotion in July 2012 as Consultant .
When Task increased pressure started to build up.
Co worker were supportive but mistakes started to increase which increased the task and communication lag after that resulted to stop the learning process further which was even a bigger mistake.
Most Enjoyable part of work was 24 X 7 fixed and process based work . but the rotational shifts sometime disturbed the health.
Hardest Part of the work was to deal with priorities of work as it was Multiple Retail Client based tasks and Number of tasks had to be performed simultaneously.
Management was was average with there decision makings from my point of view as number of times we face escalation then only
only they made changes , and if i reported some queries or difficulty in process it was not satisfied or rectified for maximum cases ( I mean no preventive efforts were being taken and we have to face escalations even though long before it had been notified and it was being difficult to cope up afterwards ).
ProsCab facility, nature of work
Consextended hours of work and no free meals even for the extended hours or saturday's/ sunday's work
Productive and fun filled work place where we cannot feel pressure of work load.
There is no typical work day i had in my carrer nor life because i will take or consider everything is giving me an oppertunity to learn new things and making me more experince which is learned from mistakes.
This is fentastic managment i ever worked with given me more freedom to express myself in all the situation and underatnd the need to employees and also provided root to build up the carrier within.
My team is the wonderfull thing in this company they always support me when ever managememt required support form me i just call the team and explain the situation of the process and thay make it easy at the end of the day.
There is no Herdest and enjoyable part of the Job, I just loved my job and started working by thinking everything is possible i never said no to anyone even its not able to be achived with in the dead line, i finish the task and make them understand that this is not to be completed by proivided time so that its easy forme as well asmanagment to decide on the workload provided to the each agent so i enjoy everymoment of my work to make hardest part of the job to turn into most enjoyable part.
ProsWe have free dinner provided in the company as we work on the UK shift timings
ConsEvery time we work smart to complete our task in provided time, some times of there is spike in volumes will be very flexiblr to streach and complete the task.
I have worked here for a year. The management has no clue what they're doing and often times think they're better than you. They lie to your face about extreme things such as medical leave so that when you come back, you will not be compensated as promised, to even minor things such as paid time off. The training covers everything except your actual job, and because you have no clue what you're doing you often times make mistakes and they treat you as a child. Favourites are always picked instead of hard working employees, and they always promise increase in pay, but they never do. I have taken two extreme responsibilities on top of my regular position and have not seen a dime of compensation though they have told me it's coming. If you come in as a contracted and get hired directly, they drop down your pay. They switch your schedule around without notifying you and ask you to come in on a day off. They lie about overtime, so you think you're doing over time but you're not, it's standard pay. And to top it all off, they had fired an entire project in Sarasota just so that they could hire 80 more people in El Paso Texas. They do not care about you or your life. They literally said "if you're not here we don't get paid, so be here everyday" the clock in time is 9am and I clocked in at 8:58am and was berated in front of the entire floor for clocking in two minutes early.
Management is fu of hypocrisy. I was told not to wear a specific pair of pants to work when they were wear
ProsDecent exterior off setting
ConsThey committed every sin imaginable and wag their finger in your face to blame it on you
It's nice to be remote, but often feel disconnected
When I first started as an NGT (Next Generation Talent), there was a week of training on client interaction, then 4 weeks of track-specific training (mine was in Java and Spring Boot). These went well, and I learned a good deal. Then came the time to get certified. The passing grade was fairly low (like a 65?) and I passed the first time, everything all set. Note that you get/can get a company credit card, and can use this to pay the certification fee. I don't recommend this, as you have to pay the card balance yourself, then get reimbursed. It's just easier to pay on your own card and get reimbursed that way -- the process was tedious and confusing.
Then came about 3 months of basically doing whatever you want. As long as you're seen as "Available" in Microsoft Teams, no one will likely bother you. Do use this time to learn through Pluralsight and Coursera and such, this will be useful for future client work. During those 3 months there were also opportunities to work on group projects with other programmers. I guess other groups presented their projects at some point, but my group never did, and honestly the project never got finished.
After that time, I started onboarding with my client company, while producing a POC (Proof of Concept) code project to show off my skills, namely in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Angular. I can't say this is will be true for everyone, but I ended up never having to present the project to anyone at the client company, nor have I had to use an

Ho lavorato alcuni anni in Capgemini.
Ingenuità all'ennesima potenza.

Management
Management is really bad there. Favoritism is one issue as well. Everyone in management are friends. You can’t go to one manager to tell them how you feel about being treated from another manager because they tell each other. I’m even worried about telling them anything about how I feel about how I’m being treated there because I’m afraid they’ll just find a way to fire me. HR is impossible to speak with. There’s no direct number. There’s only names that you’d have to message through teams and hope they don’t screenshot it and send it to the managers you want to file a complaint on because they’re best friends. I’m not saying this because I’m hating on them, I’m really saying facts. As well as they make you work from home with the flu, cold, even COVID. You can be really really sick and they still want to try and make you work from home. But you’re too sick to work at the site. Recruiting from AZ had no actual knowledge on how capgemini here in TX really is. I can’t tell who’s the one actually wrong. But apparently, the recruiter doesn’t really give accurate information on the way the pay works there. It’s “salary” but they can edit your hours. Remove time you took off. You have to work your “company day off” If you don’t have vacation hours to cover it. You don’t get 10 paid days of vacation or sick days without a valid doctors note to cover those sick days. Vacation is only allowed or permitted when they can allow that time off. They give you the offer letter to sign, when
Zelfs hun all you can learn concept is misleidend, dat terwijl zij een eigen academy hebben.
As of the time of this review, I am currently employed with CapGemini. Overall, as an entry-level position, I have little to complain about. The hours are grueling and the attrition rate is high, but the job is anything but dull, and the learning acquired has been phenomenial for the time involved.
Because CapGemini is a consulting company, the experiences with them can vary wildly depending on the client and the position applied for. In this case, I have been employed as a software developer, primarily coding core java. While balancing requests and demands from different managers and client representatives, my daily work consists of phone calls, handling updated requirement documents, helping handle bugs and production issues, coding, regression testing, guiding new code iterations from the development to UAT to staging phases, release management, and remaining on call into the night.
The worst part about the job is the fact that the development team is understaffed and overworked, and generally gets pre-empted from its own tasks. Deadlines are very relative, as tasks pile up faster than they can be handled, and CapGemini's nature as a company means it has to be *very* careful in negotiating with its clients unless it risks deadlock in a new hiring process, or otherwise jeopardizes its engagement.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to code, and the skillsets learned to work on it. I learned a lot about practical application of Java RMI, cluster communication AP
