EXL GTSC C14 Gurgaon Detailed Review
All the people who are getting a lot of calls from EXL. This review is specifically focused for Centre 14 Gurgaon GTSC who has American Express Business Travel as their client. So before I go into detail, guys this a place where you should come only if 1. You are jobless 2. Ur last organization fired you 3. You r a looser and just want that 30% hike and have no career aspirations whatsoever Above 3 r the only people who join this org. unless they r stupid enough to join without doing research. So, this Centre has a lot of Veteran AMEX employees who were kicked out to 3rd Party EXL when this center was sold to EXL.(This is public information Glassdoor) This happened in 2010 and since then this center is going downhill. Some of the of AMEX veterans who couldn’t find a better job outside or are 2 lazy to look for it are still sitting here. I mean 10 years’ experience and still doing entry level(B28) analyst role PLEASE. Now this is a 3rd party and NOT American express, so they are high on cost cutting. This starts from year end increments, when you get promoted (lol) you only get a 10% increment and then urn year end increment will be prorated. Now they r so pathetic that they only promote in months of Nov & Dec so that they only pay 1% max as year end increment. Reaming year they call it Promotion ND hiring freeze. : P.. so gross right.. Job Responsibility includes: Accounts Payable Team  Working for client AECOM a Fortune 500 Company which is one of the world’s finest engineering, environmental, planning and Design Company.  Working on ERP Oracle for processing AP invoices and for posting Re-class and Reversal of entries. We  We are using Application “Application X-tender” (to view images of invoices and to pull various monthly and weekly reports),  Processing PO & Non PO Invoices and Setting the Tax code issues in Oracle.  Sending out mails to Client requesting them to set up Task code, Project codes and Expenditure types if any required.  Sending mails to Scanning department to rescan the invoice if it is not properly legible.  Sending mails to the client to clarify the approval amount which needs to be processed.  Passing Reversal and Re-class for those invoices which are wrongly processed in Oracle.  Indexing the images and committing them in AX.  Preparing daily reports for AP Invoice Team by pulling the query’s from Application Xtender and reporting the same to the TL.  Verifying and checking the invoice to make sure that Sales & Use Tax is incurred on every invoice for particular expenditure types. When i was in EXL my work starts at 4 pm and it last to 1 am (Indian Time) usually. I handled US company's accounts, so i used to work at our clients time to communicate with them.But in every month i need to close the accounts, in that case, first 3 days of every month i need to extend my working time till my particular days work comes to an end. Because within first 3 days of every month i need to close the accounts. As it was my first job i got professional work experience in an organization and learned how to manage different accounts,preparing and posting journal entries in SAP,preparation of reconciliation statement using black line reconciliation tool,netting and wire payment,out of balance research,client management,delivering work on time and the most important in my work was monthly closing of accounts. In EXL my manager was very much supportive,helpful and has sound knowledge in our work related matters. He gave us the freedom to do our work freely within the time limit at the same time he was brilliant in managing the team and the project. As i told it was my first job, my co-workers were very helpful for me during my work period and i learned the working culture of the organization from my co-workers. Terrible People and Worst Policies
I joined EXL analytics after more than 7 years of experience of working in banking analytics space and could not survive the organization for even 6 months. Currently I am serving my notice period here and if I could change one person’s mind who is contemplating joining this company, I would be happy. You learn to struggle for some of the basic things in the company like internet connection ,hardware not working, extensions not available for client calls, laptops not assigned and when you raise these concerns to your manager/avp/vp, be prepared to get a “ Figure it out yourself” kind of answer. HR of any organisation has one basic job, to be warm and welcoming to the newly hired employees. The HR of this company, fails to even do that. Management is disrespectful and unprofessional to an extend that they can keep a tab on the time you spend on your seat, taking breaks. Met some of the most unreasonable people here who would expect you to work till wee hours without providing for your safety ( I am a female employee btw). Cant take verbal commitment seriously here. There is a huge gap between the kind of work they tell they do (at the time of hiring) and what they actually do. 80% of the workforce is only building dashboads/exl spreadsheets and building reports on power BI for their clients in the name of analytics.

A.)The office is at remote location: 1. No working street lights 2. No safe parking. If there is, then its on a high charge(80 INR per day) 3. If some tragedy happens with your car, even if you write to management, they will ignore your mail 4. Pathetic cab conditions B) For all joining formalities you will have to travel (on your own) 2 times in your first week to Ggn location C) Your access card will work only atleast after 10days of your joining & once you get access, you can only use a part of office, not allowed otherwise D) To go to ground floor, you need to either go to basement or first floor through stairs & then take lift to ground floor( Mind it there are 8 floors-with approx 2000 employees) but lifts are only 4, out of which one will be blocked in case Client is there at the office, but they might not be using the lift at a certain point of time of the day E) For UAN number update, you need to upload Aadhar card as per EXL policy, but you cannot send any document from your personal mail to your EXL emails E) You gonna regret if you join here,specially into Healthcare project, because: 1. No phone is allowed at your seat 2. If you are selected into EXL, there will be further interviews with the client to finalize on your existence in the company

I have been working here more than a year now and I could proudly call this company my first serious job that pushed my potential to the next lever and challenged more my brain than my body, the latter case being specific in the hospitality field. I was delighted to find an extremely warm welcoming both from HR department, coordinators, trainers and from colleagues. There is no structure within this company. It is run by a very diverse group of people who have no training in diversity in the work place, and expect to be able to run a business without it. The management here has little to no people skills and are 90% money oriented without really understanding ALL of the aspects it takes to get there. Quality is controlled out of Pune India and "language barriers" are used as an excuse to downgrade the customer service reps who work hard to use the little skills and tools that are taught to them to do the best job they can. There is no structure throughout the staff within the organization. Most agents do as they please when they please, while a few are monitored very closely and punished drastically for the smallest of mistakes. This company boasts a family comes first attitude which I personally experienced when my father was in the hospital having surgery for a collapsed lung and I came to work in order to not get pointed and lose money or get written up. All day top members of management told me how they were there for me and that I should go and be with my father because family was most important. After surgery and finding out that it was cancer not just a collapsed lung I took off 3 days to be with my family and my father, and was pointed out to the max. Because family is so important to EXL. When questioned my manager about it I was told that this was not bereavement days so I would need to produce my father's medical records in

I am sure you have heard of micro management, but what EXL Cape Town does is worse; Nano management. They attempt to control not just your professional life, but also your personal life. Fair is only fair when it suits them, if it doesn’t suit them - it’s not fair. And the rules change according to top management's preference. All the rules and regulations are made by mostly one person and when that person’s mind changes, so do the rules on a whim. Managers aren’t even allowed to question the rules and are taught to follow. EXL does well in analytics and AI, but please take note EXL as a company and not EXL Cape Town! This site is a hard core call center. They do not do any analytical work here, so don’t get sold a dream, because that is what they are really good at; selling you a dream of opportunity. A few of their “Leaders,” don't know how to manage themselves but they are leaders. Trust me most of the good leaders left, those remaining have sold their souls to the "Non Democratic" decision making style, and last-minute.com culture. Please take note of a few points if you want to join EXL Cape Town. If you are lower on the hierarchy level (Executive or Sr Executive), you have no say. Levels and bands are everything for them, not their people. For example if your level is lower and you have a great idea which can have a really good impact on the business it may not be considered, if the same idea comes from a person who is on a higher level or from a favourite, it will

Poorly Managed Company
A typical day at EXL was answering phones and getting customer's the service that they need. I learned to read google maps better and be more aware of my surrounding on an interstate, the manager I had was nice as well as the one of the other bosses, the workplace culture was not a problem everyone got along with each other just fine without any drama. The hardest part of the job was when customers would scream at me, get rude with me, insult me, cuss me out when their provider wasn't there at the time they said they would be there, or when I couldn't get a provider out to them in the area they were at or had to pay extra for the service because they were going five miles further because of the policy they had didn't go that far. I did enjoy some of the customers that were so sweet and that were also friendly and were just happy to hear a friendly voice. If you have a physical disability they didn't have a problem with that at all, they were more that happy to let you work and if you could only work part time they would let you.They were terrible about using the bathroom, they would only let you use the bathroom if it was on your break or you would have to use your break time to use the bathroom, I found out that is illegal and can be turned in to the labor board. The work force manager didn't care about anyone but herself, you couldn't hardly get a day off from there even if you had the time, the insurance was a joke. I wouldn't recommend this company to work for to anyone.
