Not so good experience with Tech in eClerx
I am associate process manager in the technical team. IT team is eclerx perform has shared service, where primary goal is to maintenance and support the previous develop applications.
If you are fortunate, you will get few development projects.
Developmental project are of small scale, tool centric which may be automation of business process, which few user would use.
As for the culture, pros are flexible time, com off policy, i.e. you work on Saturday, Sunday or any other public holiday, you will get com off, 30 days per year leave, good facility, good canteen, good chicks ;)
Now for bad part,
Limited application exposure, long working hours for mid-level managers, bell curve, office politics, new hindrance and frustration to employee introduce in name of security measures, etc
Ugly part,
hmm, not much here, as I can see
Hence, finally verdict, Its good company to work with, fastest growing company in KPO\BPO pace. Highly recommend for ITES sector but for tech and IT development, its good only for maintenance work and limited exposure to technology (forget wcf, wpf, sharepoint, mobile development, etc)
Prosgood facilities, great hr policy
Conslong hours, no work-life balance for mid-level, no innovation in using new technologies

A very good learning platform and provides opportunity for situational leadership
Its a very dynamic environment in eClerx and there are adhoc activities carried out apart from BAU making it a challenging job to accommodate the requirements of the day, at times you end up doing only BAU.
Since the organization offers situational leadership platform, you tend to learn more at times than being in structured environment you are required to stand in to a she of your managers shoe many a times and take the decisions accordingly.
The Co-workers are competitive and friendly as well at the same time giving a good essence of a corporate culture.
Business requires you to be in the office all the time and since the environment pushes the ownership delegation pattern, it becomes really hard at time to call it a day.
The management allows you to run the show your way, just like your own business with considerable amount of regulations and you can turn out to be a hard working entrepreneur after the experience with the company
ProsOwnership Culture, Opportunity and Platform, Learning
ConsLong Hours, Less Money, Possibility of autocracy

Amazing opportunities for learnings
Working on 8th of Feb 14.
Due to the Go live of UTI pairing, we have received almost 450 portfolios request which we have to complete by 12th of Feb. Team was already behind the schedule due to lack on clarity on requests and its handling. Also any ignorance from their part can result into SIRT ( security breach), which was not at all acceptable and can result into loss of project and goodwill for the company. So we have decided to come on Saturday ( 8th of Feb), so that we can clear all our doubts and some pending works. Even NY counterparts were coming to help us.
Since Saturday was not a working day, so we don't have any canteen facility on that day, even some maintenance work was going on that day, so even AC was not working. And ultimately we have to work for 12 hours without any AC or food ( except for one pizza which we got as a parcel). But it was good learning for everyone. We have managed to close ~104 requests on that day. Got Client appreciation for our dedication and help.
So overall day was too hectic, uncomfortable, but learning, sense of achievement and satisfaction was great.

Vast experience opportunities
Long working hours, good company culture with APAC, EMEA, and NY shifts, open desk work place, overlapping terminal assigned, good team engagement features, reward system for accuracy and productivity performance, 24 leaves yearly, mandatory one week leave once a year, Bi-monthly bonus policy based on KRA, high work queue and escalation management, high priority task with SLA, bulk assignments and projects with less SLA available compared to dedicate FTE, resolving issues and raising tickets, client interaction, and training onshore and offshore teams, auto senior promotion on two year completion, no free cabs, no free meals or coupons, cafeteria food not up to the mark and expensive even in SEZ zone, mid size company with less average salary.
ProsSeniority based on years, perks for motivation, flexibility, cross learning, client engagement, job enrichment, women excluded from night shifts, growth opportunities for SMEs
ConsLong hours, low quality food in cafeteria, high work pressure and high accuracy work, biased treatment of employee, less average pay

Good learning environment and fun workplace
Our day typically starts in the second half as we work according to the UK shift timings. We start with email management and task scheduling followed by our daily operational activities. Since our domain primarily envisages on web based activities such as SEO, keyword optimization, web analytics, etc. we constantly receive mailers covering updates on SEO based platform, Google Adword updates, new blogging techniques, etc. The management is very well focused on overall development of each and every resource with regard to their technical expertise as well as basic management fundamentals. Co-workers share a good rapport with colleagues as well as senior managers across verticals. The management makes sure that there are no such hard roadblocks hampering the efficiency and productivity whilst on job. The most fun part of working in this organization is its informal culture. Working in casuals does elevate your comfort level while on the work floor especially for fresh graduates.

OTC Derivatives & Cash Settlements
We are a team of 14 members for APAC cash settlements, in which we all have different process. Our daily activity is to handle our process completely and solve the discrepancies if any without missing SLA.
Me in my team handle both external & internal processes of my client. In eclerx I learned many new activities like keeping records or count of the daily working done, also calculating the RU of our team.
As a Senior Analyst I do audit of all the Analyst group and also send the critical report to higher management. Also handle escalation and revert to them with proper solution on time.
The hardest part of my job is to handle volume spike which we have every quarter without missing any deliverable.
We also have fun activity on every Friday where we play games and many more things.
Eclerx is a good place to work and for your good start in corporate life.

Poor management and miscommunication with staff and higher ups
A typical work day at eClerx consists of dressing business casual and working 11a-8p. The first 5 weeks consist of training classes all day. During this time, the communication on what was needed to be taught was all over the place and the lessons that were to be taught did't work half of the time. The trainer was exceptional, they took every system fail and miscommunicated topic at its best and corrected it as soon as they could. The dress code was unorganized because they would state business casual and you would see people in t-shirts and jeans including the higher ups. This caused confusion withing the work field on what was required. You did get a good salary and benefits, plus weekends off, but any medical needs is classes as excusable and would go towards your termination points. This was not communicated fairly until after the employ did so. Communicating with the customers and other employees was the most enjoyable part of this. Some of the customers would have a more aggressive approach but that was understandable for certain situations and you could be the one to help assist them to relieve some of the stress with their account. The downfall to this was that if the standards were not met your lunch got cut and sometime you wouldn't be able to go to lunch during the entire work day. This caused people to put in their two weeks as well as just quit because they were putting in hours and not having their rights respected.
ProsGreat salary, Benefits, Weekends of, Thorough training, Outstanding trainer
ConsPoor communication, unorganized, No excusable absence and lates.

Decent pay for the work. Training period is exceptionally graceful regarding the amount of chances they give trainees to prepare for production.
Although management was decently reasonable in their conduct towards employees as a whole (e.g., they were willing to listen to employee complaints), they didn't seem to make certain employee needs a priority unless it involved something that could potentially impact the business in a considerably harmful way (e.g., employee resignation). The pay was decent for the work ($10.25/hr starting pay); and in addition to working a full time schedule, overtime was offered. The training period was exceptionally graceful and lengthy (i.e., "graceful" in that the training period allowed for multiple attempts for a trainee to prepare for "the floor"/production, and "lengthy" in that the training period was over a month long). The most enjoyable and fulfilling part of my job was successfully troubleshooting customer equipment/services and having the flexibility of creating semi-casual communication in making customers smile and laugh over the phone as I attempted to find and troubleshoot those product/service issues. Overall, I would recommend this job to anyone who feels that they could handle the emotional and mental wear-and-tear of disrespectful and irate customers who have little knowledge of their home products/services; all while being warm, friendly, and respectful in return.

Would not recommend this place to anyone
I worked for Eclerx for 2 months. My experience there was not all that I expected to be. My trainer was amazing, and yes, he was from India. This is an India based company. They pay $10.25 an hour starting off and then I think you get a dollar raise after 160 days of employment. The drama in this place is ridiculous and nobody addresses it. If you are absent a day, even if you bring in valid documentation stating why you were absent, that day still counts against you and you do not get excused for it. That policy is ridiculous. At Eclerx, you cannot just pick and choose your hours (especially if in training). They have times where people do not get paid on time. In other words, these people do not have their stuff together. If you have children and you don't have efficient childcare, don't even consider this place. They do not care if you have children or not. They want you to work when they want you to work, how they want you to work. Period. Everyone there isn't bad, but it seems that management could care less about you.
ProsGood Pay
ConsPay is bi-weekly, managers do not address problems that could potentially escalate, bullying

Needs work in organization and company leadership
This is the first call center in america for this particular company, the company is based in India so this is a great opportunity to advance. However some of my personal concerns was the product knowledge and the lack of assistance during the nesting period and during production when needing assistance with a customer. The training was extended twice which is not necessarily a bad thing however during the training experience the classroom instruction was often interrupted which would leave room for laziness or self teaching systems that would need to prepare for. Again, the company it self is not bad but there is a problem in authority of who is actually running the business or conflict as to what is really true when assisting the customer. Also, there is no clear or set time when you are taking a break or lunch as an example, you can take a 15 min break but not get a lunch for another 4-5 hours, the next day you may be asked to take your 15 minute break and your lunch within an hour.
