Work and fun
My day will starts every day 12 noon we are supporting to UK based clients. I am part of service level reporting team and we are 12 member in our team and i am the senior most. The nature of my work is i am handling more than 1100 reports per month.Allocating the reports to reporters and i am taking care of critical reports
My day will start with greeting to all and switch on the system and checking the 3 different mail box and plan for the day schedule.
Every day i use learn new things. When ever i use to get a free time i use think about the automating the task's and improvise the reporting level,Training to new joiner's and fresher's.
Had a good reputation with management team and if any new reports and any implementation about the process discussing with them.Personally management given more responsibility on me.
Very funny co-Workers during the break time.Co-workers are really smart with there works. I use to learn from them about new tools and other stuffs.
Every month starting 10 calender days was very critical for us to produce the report.during this period we are not having lunch together,no greetings,no chatting working like a hell. End of the day its all for process feeling happy to work.
Last week of the month more enjoyment its a straight opposite first 10 days. last week less work enjoying the each moment of the work and will get a time to meet other team members.Going for team lunch and enjoying the each moments.
More Job Opportunities but no transportation facilities.
1. Work life here is very tenuous in 24*7 environment.
2. There is no problem regarding the relationship with the manager and other IT professionals but there is more of parochiality rather than expanded, enjoyable and sophistication in the mind-like environment.
3. If you think that you could explore more and work here like extraordinarily, then i am not sure about Microland but definately working on their client site is like living in a detestable culture where there are more chances of escalations even if you dont wear ID cards.Aside there is much existence of politics and blameworthiness for unsual petty reasons.
4. Horrific written and communication utilization.
5. Hardest part of the job is to complete the shift duties for long hours and taking ups and downs without cabs for far distances.
6. Most enjoyable part of the job is no fixed timings for short and long breaks which would be usually be there in MNC's.
ProsGrowth in Employement
ConsNo Provision of Transportation/Cab Facilities

My Views and Experience at Microland Limited
Microland was my second job after graduation and was one of the tuffest.
A typical day at work was not organised in a sales dept, its very unpredictable. The sales force is a very demanding and aggressive work force and to support such a team of 10 sales executives was very challenging.
Some of the the Co-workers of those years ended up friends for life.
To thrive and survive in such a demanding atmosphere is a challenge in itself and I take pride to say I worked for 31/2 years in Microland.
The most enjoyable part of the job was having the whole team of the same age group of 22-28, and an intelligent breed who ventured into Computer business in early 90's. The dynamic breed I would call it.
ProsBeing surrounded by intelligent breed, a person learns immensely.
ConsLong working hours and low pay.
Possess excellent inter personal & management skills with strong leadership qualities and communication abilities.
