If you are applying for a role in Finance, you might be interviewed for one role, offered another role as per you offer letter and by the time you land, you might become a part of a completely different team. Internal Exchange of Resources is very common within shops managed by Directors who report to one Senior Director. Once you start, you will be designated with your role and responsibilities and a month's hands on training will be provided by aligning you a buddy. Once you have taken over, you will be expected to do the given job for months and years, unless either of you or management come up with an urge to change your role and responsibilities as you may seek some growth in the organization or there is a change in process. Laid back work culture. You will be given a laptop. You just have to come to office, do the given work, do whatever you want for remaining of the time, clock 9 hours and leave. Appraisal process appears to be there only for the sake of doing it and documentation. No growth/No Promotion/No Increment/No Bonus promised by the Management even if you ask. Once in a 3 months RnR would be organized for team building and motivation among people. In my personal experience, the team I worked with people were too much obsessed for usage or against non-usage of local language forgetting the fact that they are working for an MNC where they will have people from all caste, culture and religion working with them and it is not necessary for anyone who has just arriv

Employees are one of the most important aspects in an organization. They are people who run the organization and get the things done for the organization in order to achieve the company’s purposes and objectives. Company consists of teamwork which refers to a group of people with the complementary and difference skills and abilities who committed to a common mission and performance goals. They work in a company for some reasons and based on some motivations.
Motivation theories explain that different people will have different type of motivation regarding to the great diversity and behavior complexity in company nowadays. Many suggestions believe that money is one of the motivations for the workers. However, for the new generation today, money is not the only things that influence them to stay working with an organization. People are trying to seek another advantage from their job and they tend to find inner satisfactions beside the financial satisfactions.
In order to achieve employee’s satisfactions, people often try to find the convenience in the working place. The convenience feeling in complying their responsibility in company plays a critical role. The convenience in working place can be determined by the work environment which is very crucial in supporting, suggesting, and improving the working performance, and also to maintain all of these "valuable assets" of an organization.
Work environment is the surrounding where the employees work that can influence emp

Great company - a but a HR that is relatively weak making reporting managers very powerful
Oracle India is a great technology company, in dev/QA many great minds work there (or atleast worked). There's flexibility at the workplace (depending on the reporting manager you work with) .
Salary hikes are very minimal. Sometimes employees haggle and bargain against offers from other companies.
My case :
Had to work remotely & my director at Oracle did not allow me to work remotely. The director who did not allow left Oracle after I resigned - he left in just a year of Oracle
My reporting management chain was all new (new manager, new Director and new Senior director). Please try and avoid getting into teams and situations like this. This happened at the facility at Tavarkhere
At Oracle India - the reporting manager is almost everything for the employee & the employee needs to be very careful in setting expectations with the manager. Should there be a conflict from the employee with the manager(s)- unlike other companies- there's no exit route (if there are no openings in neighboring teams) to move rightaway
The HR at ORA is nonexistent and weak. They only send emails for completion of mandatory courses and emails during start and end of appraisals. Mostly they talk only jargon
They side only the business (dev/qa managers) during the time of a conflict or imbalance. Oracle India will save a lot of money by replacing the HR with a inhouse developed BOT.

I am delighted to share my positive experience working with Oracle as an AI Ops employee. Oracle has proven to be a remarkable employer, providing a supportive and engaging work environment for professionals in the field of Artificial Intelligence Operations (AI Ops). Here are the key aspects that make Oracle an exceptional employer in this domain:
Cutting-Edge AI Technology: Oracle is at the forefront of AI technology and innovation. As an AI Ops employee, I had the privilege of working with state-of-the-art AI tools and platforms developed by Oracle. The company's commitment to staying ahead in the AI field empowers employees to contribute to groundbreaking projects and work on cutting-edge solutions.
Supportive Work Culture: Oracle fosters a culture of collaboration and support. The company values the contributions of its employees and encourages knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration. As an AI Ops employee, I had the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals from diverse backgrounds, allowing me to broaden my horizons and learn from their expertise. The supportive work culture at Oracle creates an atmosphere where employees feel valued, motivated, and inspired to deliver their best.

While performing as a Principal Consultant role I was supporting and managing 30 plus global projects which required extensive approval through perspective local government agencies in multiple countries. Since all of my experiences involved products that delivered functionality designed and geared for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device enterprises that encompassed human subjects, I was required to be vastly engaged in all processes of approvals and meeting the standards of the FDA, NIH, local IRB ( Investigational Review Boards), FDAMA, ICH ( International Conference on Harmonisation), WHO ( World Health Organization), Ministry of Health ( Third-world countries). In addition, I provided periodic reports and communication to the DSMB ( Data Safety Monitoring Board) a division of the Federal National Institute of Health. My previous positions at Christiana Care Health Services as an Office Manager, I had managed the Women’s OB-GYN Clinic which was designated by the US Department of Health and Social Services as the area’s primary and only Community Center designed for Women’s Health issues.

My internal team which required monitoring timelines and budgets, I would manage the CDC (Clinical Design Consultant), Development Team ( 1-3 team members depending on the size of the project, Validation Team ( 1-5) depending on size. Oracle puts itself first, then its clients, then its employees
Oracle's focus for consulting services has become "chargeability". Whereas previously the focus was customer satisfaction and employee development. Since the advent of new leadership at Oracle Consulting, the focus is now billing hours to clients. Now each level of service has to bill a specific percentage of their weekly hours to clients regardless of how much work there is to do, and irrespective of the client's budget. This was also implemented without good communication to clients. Now even VPs have to submit a time card and bill time to clients, and any work performed for a client that is a fix or is part of training has to be accounted for by submitting a no-bill code which entails quite a bit of administration. There is now an enormous administrative burden placed on people working in Oracle Consulting. People in the lower ranks do not have enough hours in the week to meet the requirements of chargeability and complete all the admin tasks expected of them - therefore they are forced to work additional hours in order to meet these requirements. Those that are overtime-eligible are also barred from working more than 42 hours, so they end up working the extra hours to meet the administrative requirements but not logging them. The culture has become lackluster and there is a fear of leadership and deep concern about job security that did not used to be present. It used to be a delightful place to work, with fun people and everyone enjoyed performing their roles f

Oracle - Good, Bad, and Ugly
Oracle is a very large company with thousands of software and hardware products and services. Overall, I would say that it's a good company to build and advance your career. The company has excellent pay and benefits once you've gotten to a senior level position.
The sales side of the company is extremely competitive and tends to lean more on the unethical and questionable side. You'll spend more time competing with other sales teams for Oracle products than actually competing with external forces. The comp structure on the sales side is crazy, but don't don't expect a solid base pay. Currently there is excessive pressure to push cloud services and cloud credits on customers. If you fight for your customer's best interests, you may get into trouble, so be careful.
The consulting side of the company is extremely understaffed, under trained, and stretched very thin. The higher up you climb in the consulting side, you more customers and products you'll have to cover. You'll spend most of your time either in pre-sales consulting support or post-sales janitor duty. A lot of consulting gigs at Oracle are horribly mismanaged and at the behest of the sales team to clean up after their poor judgement on solution positioning or on the customers dime to fix their mistakes.
The software development side can be challenging or fun, depending on which products you work on. More attention and money is given to business apps (Fusion, PSFT, ATG, EBS, etc.) and to middleware (Oracle DB

So much red tape, I'm surprised people can get in the door
Perhaps it is because my company was acquired by Oracle, but clearly the phrase "the head doesn't know what the tail is doing" applies. It is a leviathan of a company. I went from a sole specialist in my department to being part of a team, all of which were on the other side of the country. I was asked to join "the team" in person, but Oracle wouldn't allow for moving expenses, time to move, an increase in pay to cover owning a house on the east coast and renting a shoebox on the west coast, or give me more than two weeks to find someone to rent my house as selling it that quickly was impossible. So I opted to stay on to head up east coast projects.
I wasn't allowed to complete projects that hadn't been finished before the acquisition, I had to do that on my own time. I was no longer allowed to collaborate on projects with my former department, other department heads or even my CMO & CEO because there were now interdepartmental charges for my services to start a project AND complete a project, which no one had an allotted budget for.
Bonuses and raises that were agreed upon before the acquisition were denied under the new management. Some people had their salaries ridiculously reduced just so those people would quit and Oracle wouldn't have to pay unemployment. I was salary and was switched to hourly. I had the same pay rate, but now I had to make extensive weekly documentation of everything I did. I couldn't stay late, come in early, or work weekends or holidays. I cou

Life at oracle
It's kind of hard to describe the typical day at Oracle in the Micros side. Oracle in the Micros side you are going to be dealing with Hotels and restaurant, I deal with hotels PMS. I'm going to start with the hardest part of the job. When you start at Oracle, Oracle is going to give you "training", which we think this is going to be useful for us. Once you dig in to the training and you are on the phone you think to your self this is swim or sink because the training does not teach you anything, but when you after a few months to a year the sink or swim just leaves your mind and now is sink or sink faster since Oracle does not prepare you for whats going on. The employees at Oracle have to learn the Opera application by your self, dont even bother asking for help because that's like talking to a mirror. I have learned at Oracle the Opera application and how to work with their server. I don't even know how to describe management, since every manager say something else, and no manager see's eye to eye. At oracle you are going to listen to your manager and your manager's managers, if you listen to another manager from another property they are going to have another rules and it's going to get you in hot water with your manager, even though they work for Oracle. I can't really see anything that's hard about Oracle, except when their cloud product crashes, mind you this happen in a daily basis. When you know that your shift is starting, we always ask "what broke this time
ProsThe Benefits are great

ConsBajos salarios. Casi nula capacitación presencial con instructores. Mucho inglés pero cero curso.
This was a great company to work for. I was very happy! My co-workers were always extremely helpful with great attitudes, and that is a huge factor for me in a working environment.
Management was always very encouraging and didn't Hover over you all day. They give you the trust and confidence to go about your day. They were always quickly responsive anytime I needed any help.
Oracle has a very fun and relaxed working environment. They have fun games and activities built into their walls. So you could be getting up from your desk for a much needed break! and walk down the hall and start playing the electronic basketball game on the wall, or race cars on the built in race car track. etc. They have foozeball and ping pong tables in the break rooms, with Amazing! views of lady bird lake. From any break room on any floor. They have "quiet rooms" where you can go to take a little 15min. nap on your break, if you'd like.
Oracle goes above and beyond to make sure their employees are happy and stress free on a daily basis. Because, lets face it. Every job position can get stressful. No matter what kind of job you have...so as a company they really understand that aspect and they created an Environment that MAKES you WANT to go to work everyday! Which i believe is a huuuge! benefit.
Also we all know that Food! is what get us through our day, each day. They have an amaziiiing cafeteria! with over 7 different types of cuisine stations. (American, Indian, Italian, Hibachi! and more!
Ironically, with oracle being such a large company, the value they place on employees is a bit mind-boggling. A typical day is 'look like you are working while waiting on work'. If there is no issues at hand, they expect you to make up work to do, even though everybody is not held to this accountability, only the employees that are the 'favorites' of the management team are excluded. This is a dynamic that runs rapid throughout the office. The pay scale is beyond unfair. I was recently promoted, which took more than a year and a half of 'training' before they would even approve. I use the word training loosely as there is no training structure its just learn what you can however you can. After actually receiving the promotion they offered me a 'raise' that didn't have any impact on my actual paycheck (it's the same as it was). On top of all of that the new employees hired for my old position are making more than I am and I have to essentially do their job and mine because they do not handle the work required at that position. So I have to do way more work for less than someone in a lesser position. This is something that resonates through Oracle as my research has led me to believe. The only redeeming factors about the job is they offer overtime pay on every weekend worked as long as its a regular scheduled work day, free Pepsi and Dr Pepper, and there seems to be endless sick time. They offer perks and discounts but most in the office don't make enough money to take advantag
