My Experiences
One day , I was announced to work on the most difficult task and got trained in the team , so I accepted and I got trained on Phone . This training was done for a long time where I came on login even after going home and got trained for 1 week later I was perfect and I gave the required Quality and productivity on time and that continued all the times with the appreciations from my managers and directors . I am the beck up coordinator in my team . I should take care of all the things assisting my Sr. coordinator in his presence and absence. I tackle the team with out any problems. when some of them tried to play politics , I never cared as I was doing correct so need to get afraid and understood only one thing we have to face bad and good in day to day life to learn something new. Moreover my Manager gave me a compliment saying that the tree which have the fruits only will get the hurts of stones.
ProsI do participate in all the birthday parties of team members and give the treat on my birthday, We the team celebrate each and very festival at work place with lots of joy, We have lots of fun at work place . We enjoy our work .

Fun, Productive, Supportive and Friendly work enviornment
Everyday started with greeting the colleagues, getting a cup of coffee, prioritizing that day's work and then start with it. Time used to fly by, all the doubts were cleared by the supportive colleagues. Everyone in the team was humble and polite. We were taught how to complete our task without getting stressed and make it fun. The office used to host one month long celebrations every year with lots of events. This gave a chance to the employees to show their creative side and make the workplace a fun environment. The work was monotonous, but the comfortable vibe of the office kept us going and we never complained about anything. Our team leader was an amazing leader and always made us feel important. He used to host team parties every 3 months for the team members to form a better bond among themselves and all this made us work for him more efficiently and improve ourselves in any way possible so that we don't get him in trouble because of us.

PAREXEL is an organization dedicated to providing top of the class Pharmacovigilance services to its clients. The work culture is quality oriented.
I have been working at PAREXEL as a full time employee for a few years now. The work culture is fun - all festivals are celebrated enthusiastically. Most of my colleagues are intelligent, work oriented and believe in sharing knowledge - which is integral to the success of the company. Pros: - Good Infrastructure - Wonderful work culture - Polite and helpful colleagues - Senior management is good Cons: - Overtime compensation/approval is not transparent (some teams may get the compensation, others may not) - New projects' assignation criteria are sketchy at best - Stingy approach - Long term employees (with excellent work track) who would like to re-locate outside India are not given any options to continue employment. Resignation becomes necessary, which is very discouraging.

Biased to the core
Working for about an year here now but in no way this place feels like a corporate. The managers lack competence in supporting the team. Work is thrown at employee with bare minimum name sake training. The senior management is involved in lots of politics. Some people are promoted thrice in a year and others keep proving over and over again Couple of them were asked to leave without any information to the employees. FAVORITISM is at its peak. Team leads, ATMs and all promotions are based upon sycophancy. There is no system in place for grievance redressal by the management. HR is almost non existent. Over all you are in a for a crude experience. The motto seems to be Might is Right and if you know nothing, you are bright.

Growing Organization in Clinical and Health Care
Usually start my day at work by checking e-mails and mark the important ones for action. Most of my day goes in meetings with my Associate Director, other Service Line owners, Team leads(my reports) and running MIS reports. Customer Care Operations is a perpetually pressured work environment with requests coming from various Clinical Users, Clients and Patients with usually demanding of shorter TAT on delivering resolution. Challenging yet enjoyable. Its a 24/7 operations with your co-workers spread across the shifts so we hardly have daily personal interaction however we make sure to meet up at least bi-weekly.

Nothing but lies from senior management
A toxic environment to work in. Some senior managers lie to get what they want and are allowed to get away with it. Salary is not great and pay rises depend on how well you get on with your boss, not your capabilities. Some senior directors were fired and investigated for fraud. The nexus they created still exists and threats are made by the nexus, from outside the organisation, to those who dare to question what is going on operationally. Career wise you will not grow, rather take a step backwards. Support for career development is non-existent. If you want certificates forget it; They will simply point you to an online free course with no certification. No autonomy and god help you if you disagree with your manager - forget communication and any chance of a career there

Was The Best CRO...
PAREXEL used to be a great place to work. It is no longer so. If you take a job at PAREXEL be prepared for 80 work weeks, poor training annual looming layoffs and a soul crushing workload. PAREXEL was acquired not terribly long ago by a private equity firm. Once acquired sweeping changes were made to PAREXEL's business model. For the role of CRA this role was eliminated and a role called CSM was implemented. A CSM is a clinical site manager. This is a single site manage model. What this means to you as an employee is that all your inhouse support has been removed, with minimal concession for workload. You will be expected to complete 8 visits a month while handling everything from site payments to document collection. It is a horrible model and one of the last stats shared with me before leaving was that PAREXEL had lost 70% of its CRA's as a result. During the transition an obscure share point site was implanted no formal trading provided and several major issues has since been identified. This is a dramatic shift from a once great company that would fly employees to the corporate headquarters for a month of intensive training. It is really a shame. PAREXEL is attempting to tout this as an industry standard which I can assure you is not the case. I have since worked for 2 CRO's with higher pay and inhouse support. Great staff to work with, awesome work environment
Although my experience at Parexel was a short one due to being a temp worker through an agency, I thoroughly enjoyed myself working in their close-knit team. Management were friendly and easy to approach although there were quite a few managers in charge of a rather small staff team which meant that they often crossed over in and out of their general role to assist in projects and meet targets which can be confusing when trying to grasp who you are supposed to take orders from or who you are to report to and also often ended up in miscommunication issues. I would suggest a rethink with how management and associates operate on a day to day basis. The atmosphere of the office was a jovial one and there was a great sense of being part of a solid team. The general feeling was of a unit all aiming to "get the job done". I feel that the training was too intense and short for the job role considering they were employing people without a need for prior experience in that field but expecting immediate targets to be reached and that put quite a lot of un-needed stress on new recruits to perform instead of to learn and adapt organically. If the opportunity were to present itself, I would certainly work at Parexel again and would suggest anyone who enjoys events planning based work and being able to micro-manage yourself to look into a role at Parexel.

The Company encouraged the employee to develop the management knowledge in the assigned fields.
- The employee's improvement in the management/timeliness of the monthly Quality Evaluations was valued. - There was a great support from all colleagues upon any doubt/concern, and there were bi-weekly calls to share worries in the daily management of the issues. - The Goals set at the beginning of the fiscal year could be adjusted twice a year with the LM to line them up better to the employee's development flow (and taking the circumstances into account). - Company Awards were received once a Company Value was met or exceed by an employee. I have received three awards in different expertise fields. - It was not easy met the Quality Evaluation timelines in some occassions, although flexibility was allowed every time as some other priorities could have taken the lead at certain time points. - The working time daily spent was not assessed in detail by the LM, as to meet (or exceed) the Goals set every year was the key value to evaluate the employee's performance. It was then allowed to work from the home-office. - There was no consistent Line Management (LM) overview to the employee's work development thus each LM assessed compliance based on their own (personal) criteria. - The salary increase was not in line with the level of expertise shown by the employee, neither with the Company awards received.

Database searches, communcating with volunteers and other departments within the study team. Mentoring and training on study specifics. Reporting to line manager and other managers within the unit on recruitment issues pertaining to problem solving and resolution. Screening of potential volunteers and confirming appointments verbally and via email, all in accordance to protocol and ethic approved literature. Knowing that utilising extensive knowledge and interpersonal skills resulted in providing accurate information and customer satisfaction. Overall management was satifstory however due to the business needs there was a high level of department changes. The culture of Parexel was harmonised and brought together talent and skills to make a successful environment. The hardest challenges as part of my job was to ensure that targets were met when dealing with complex protocols that required specific patient populations that had to be recruited for within budgeted timelines. Great satisfaction was working with my direct team and communicating with volunteers in person and via telephone and email building up good working relationships which enhanced my job.

Fast paced working enviroment
On a daily basis I deal with requests to update a specific Client's database with necessary update, amendments etc from colleagues from various locations worldwide. I also work through reports which are received on a weekly basis and compare the information on two different systems match. If not issues are raised to the relevant team members for resolution. Having worked with the same Company for numerous years I've learned how to multitask between different tasks as well as working on various studies throughout the day many of which are for different Clients. I feel I've managed my workload very well and priortise on a daily baiss. I've built good working relationships with all my colleagues weather they be located in the same office as myself or different locations. The most demanding part of my job is managing liasing with colleagues from different locations in finding resolution for issues that arise due to time difference but the majority of the time these are resolved in a timely manner. The most enjoyable part of my role is being able to work with a diverse large team of colleagues and knowing that we've built up a good working relationship and understand each others needs so each can complete their jobs in a timely manner.

Enjoyable place to work though Finance team gradually reducing due to redundancies
Good place to work. Unfortunately being made redundant at the end of September 2015 though there has been room for development throughout the last 11 years that I have worked at the company. A low turnover within the Finance team has meant that the core of the group has remained the same and we have grown as a team. I have learnt various aspects of the Finance department as a whole across the 3 roles that I have held within the company. A typical day currently involves many discussions with the contracts team and Project managers to break down what is required on change orders for our many clients, reconciling individual study budgets as studies move towards closure, providing client billing forecasts and overseeing the work done by the billers done within the team. It has been enjoyable and I will be sad to leave at the end of September 2015.

Never a dull moment!
A typlical day can be as easy as processing invoices for A/P and reviewing vendor contracts or convaluted with the duties of construction and ensuring the staff is safe while managing noise levels from construction work. A typical day is unpredictable. I might be giving a presentation to new hires at 8 a.m., and within the hour be on the roof, figuring out the best repair for a storm-damaged HVAC system. The day involves a lot of contact with people, ranging from the building management team trying to describe our needs to a contractor who, in turn, transforms them from plan to reality; to an ill employee where I must make the quick decision to simply call their spouse or call 911! I must remain mobile in the event I need to visit another facility and rapid problem solving is also a "must do" task of the day. I do a lot of standing and walking and, at any time, be able to lift 35 to 40 pounds or more if necessary! The most important thing I've learned is to be flexible. Learning to deal with others is another important attribute of facility management and I love the fact that no two days are ever the same.

A stimulating and exciting place to work
Life at Parexel MMS was varied and stimulating. There was no typical day, as the nature of the work meant I could, for example, be working on planning and drawing together presentations for a symposium, reviewing manuscripts for journal submission, working on a publication plan, or developing content for a website. I might also be reviewing editors' work and work loads, or preparing for a regular client meeting. The people at Parexel MMS were friendly yet professional, and cooperative to work with and along side. Occasionally, it was necessary to put in long hours for a week or two in order to get a particular job done and done well. At these times, keeping on top of a number of different projects was a challenge. The best parts of the job were being able to work with some dedicated medical professionals and when we received praise and appreciation from satisfied clients. When I worked at Parexel MMS I also enjoyed traveling on business to different parts of the world.

What is interview process like at PAREXEL?

Initially HR takes interview on call explaining company policies and the job profile and then schedules the F2F interview. If the person qualifies F2F interview, then a written test is taken which include general Pharmacovigilance questions, narrative writing and a short essay writing to check the writing skills of candidate. If the candidate qualifies all these rounds, a call from HR and then a offer letter mail is the final step before joining formalities

Technical interviews , mostly 2 or max 3 rounds followed by manager discussion and later with HR. All the process gets completed in a single day. Best way to get a call is to get the CV referred by an internal employee.
