Overall Reviews at TechnipFMC
Technip is a very good compny having good working envrioment
i have been asociated with technip from last six years. Here in technip i have gained skils in the cost estimation
Productive envirenment with knowledge sharing habbits.
* TYPICAL DAY AT WORK :Very hectic routine with lots of deliverable in short span of time.
WHAT I LEARNED : Got the opportunity to learn the whole cycle of EPCM Company by becoming the part of commissioning activities, plus also did design engineering jobs and handled field instruments, Level sketches, Package instrumentation. Apart from this, also assisted cost & estimation department bidding the new projects(instrumentation scope).
MANAGEMENT : management is quite good.no hierarchy as such so all are very friendly and easily approachable.
MY CO-WORKERS : very good team, lots of knowledge sharing, friendly nature
THE HARDEST PART OF JOB : No system as such of fair distribution of work & opportunities among the team/employees.
THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF THE JOB : Got the opportunity to work in all the dimensions of the project (right from the bidding stage to final commissioning and handover) which, in turn, gives a very clear picture of the work & associated skills.
Consno systmen of work & opportunities distribution
Productive and fun place with ping pong table
During my stint at TechnipFMC, I got an opportunity to work on the de-bottlenecking of a naphtha stabilizer in an isomerization unit of a crude refining plant in order to increase its throughput to match the growing demand. Using simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and Pro II SimSci, I mimicked the existing conditions of the unit and set it to its design capacity. By gradually increasing the throughput, I then designed the auxiliary equipment under certain operation constraints and was successfully able to maximize the throughput to 170% of its design capacity.
productive and fun workplace
i am working here for past 1 year and learnt Smart plant P&ID and Auto cad for P&ID drafting and soft and hard quality checking of P&ID
A good company to work with
It is a good company to work with.
I got an opportunity to change my working discipline from Instrument to Project Engineering 12 years before.
Over a period of last 6 to 7 years, there have been lot of changes at company level and management level leading to lot of competition and politics at leadership level.
Offlate, management expectation has been to handle multiple jobs simultaneously, which becomes very difficult at times.
Great Learning Exposure, Good projects, Helpful management.
Its a good organisation for employees who want to grow, in terms of skills, projects, attitude. Open door policy by the top management. They involve everyone who is willing to give their inputs. Special rewards for people who perform the best.
ProsGood Learning Exposure, Growth, Projects.
ConsNo Cabs, no flexi hours.

Exemplo de Corporação!!!!
Tudo que existe de bom num ambiente de trabalho existe lá!!!!!! Um sonho!!!!!
US Management controls the Canadian branch but they have no knowledge and experience with Canadian Government requirements for oil and gas. US Management expect a lot of unpaid overtime from Management people. Young management without experience which made things harder. Often people get burned out and leave.
Prosa lot of challenges if you love that
ConsUnpaid overtime and long hours and hard dealing with unexperienced Management
too many cliques and nepotism
micromanaged and unappreciated by my team management would promote people far below our skill level and give them jobs as leads over us. You could get hired and promoted based on who you knew or were related to.
Consnepotism and clique hiring

Productive and learning atmosphere in a team building, collaborative environment
My experience of working with Technip FMC was in a PMC role for a greenfield LNG project in Uzbekistan. The overall work atmosphere was congenial but competitive. There were many learnings during the problem solving meetings and 3D reviews to avoid clashes during the Construction phase of the project. The meetings and safety reviews were well participated and fast moving towards the Project goals and time-lines. The toughest part was in overcoming the clashes in 3D reviews and Contractor work scoping by following Project specifications in order to achieve 100% work completion, which was the target.
ProsLunch and dinner was contracted to a catering company and was well managed, It included a Table Tennis room and gym for those participants who would like to exercise, besides the cross country-side walk/run, It made staying at site a more fulfilling experience.
ConsTemperatures were in extreme, and site was quite remote, so weekly shopping trips were necessary for topping up the daily health requirements.

A typical day at work is about how to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to define long term actions. It is cultural change that is very challenging environment within the Oil and Gas sector.
