I started with Valuelabs and have worked with them for more than 13 years. Initially there was passion for work and also scope for those who hard work. This has resulted in people willing to stay here for more than 10 years also.
Of late that has resulted in too much politics, there are people at the senior management itself who care nothing about respecting their subordinates. These managers / directors expect you to come to their desk for every small discussion even when you are working in different campuses just to please their ego, they don't want calls or video chats to discuss. I think it gives them a kind of superior feeling to see people lining before their rooms waiting for time to talk to them.
If this is one kind of people in the company there is another type which is also very large in number and unfortunately most of them either get to move to client locations or are the decision makers in how a project proceeds because of just one qualification, they are good at praising their seniors and only value those who praise them. These people are so bad that they are spreading fast and spoiling the complete system.
The added qualification about these people is they CANNOT work and CANNOT update themselves to survive in any other company so they will be in Valuelabs by any means, that is what seals the fate of this company to self destruct sooner than later.Just for the fact that I while writing this review was able to recollect about 40-50 people in the top level te
ProsCEO
ConsNo new projects, too many project lost, no job gurantee or security, Too many office politics
Company work culture is pathetic, performance is assessed based on individual's perception and once a opinion is formed it never changes. No learning curve, unrealistic targets for consultants. Appraisals are given based on Sr. Management Wish and Will, no guidelines are followed for awarding designation changes. Few get promotions for every 6 months and few dont even get for years. CEO is famous for sending long emails without any objective always trying to justify his calls. More of a family company.
Designations are given without any objective or by defining any responsibilities, for a small Level 3 company it has more than 5+ QA Directors and most of these so called directors are not hands on. Too Many SVP's and the funny part is when the favourites do not get a designation change they resign and immediately the CEO jumps and gives them promotion. Interesting part is Sr. Managers manage 1 or 2 people team directly and QA directors are available to the team only from the afternoon and expect the team to stretch based on these peoples availability.
No recognition for real hard work. Good retirement company once you have won hearts of people whom you report to.
ProsFree food, Free Snacks
ConsNo projects in pipe line, No motivation to team members, Appraisal process is shabby, Very few projects with all the seniors part of those very few projects.
if you guys really want an advice on this company, i'll personally suggest not to go. there are lot of things that should not be there in the company.
Valuelabs and it's CEO is just for the name sake because everything is in the hand of employees who are working there like Manager, project manager...if they want you to keep in their team they will otherwise they wil throw you out like a fly...they sing a song of we are family but they don't even care about your hard work.
If someone is working with the same company for the last 5 yrs and his or her reviews are highy recommneded from previous project manager in the same company then how can you put someone is behaviour PIP, it's because the current Project manager doesn't like him or her just because he or she has taken leave as he or she was not well.
Worsssstttttt Company....
No Job security
if you want free lunch that is also of low quality you can join
ProsFree lunch of low quality
ConsWorst Management...CEO is just for the name sake
At Valuelabs its very friendly environment and work culture is very relaxing and I enjoyed working at Valulabs. Apart from work I learned lot of technical and career oriented skills in Valuelabs.
ValueLabs really concerns about employee perspective and at the same time clients requirements. Employees are given at the most importance in the organisation, with all the necessary facilities like free food, gym, TT, Carroms, picnics, lunch parties.
At valuelabs I learnt about how to manage situations where work and deadlines need to be managed. By participating in seminars and organising presentations my communication level improved a lot. Over all its a great place to work
I don't know much about the company and I never saw the company and working culture because I got hired by online interview, written test and typing test...
And all the asset's are sent to my home location through postal service...
And the work type is work from home non voice chat process...
They trained me for one week then assisted for one more week on the field by helping in solving the customer queries...
When it comes to work every one is good in helping to one other ....as I never saw a single employee who works with me but many of them became good friends to me ... 1)management is very good and respond very effectively...
2)Admin department is too good...
3)IT department is awesome..
4)Salary is on time....
5)TL's are very friendly...
