A very professional organisation mixed with fun and team work
Learned how to deal with different issues, which helped me to grow in both analytical skills and domain knowledge mainly in android application development. My day to day work typically include in completing the assigned tasks, i.e. in a agile based projects. Complete the work assigned by analyzing the job, identify the area/ classes the code I write will effect. Thus complete the coding part and unit test the scenario before assigning it to the quality testing team. The most enjoyable part of the job is to identify the difficulty of the assigned task and the identification of effected classes the code I intended to write will have. This filled with weekend fun stuff, like hand painting, zumba dances, flash mobs in cafeterias, caroms, Table Tennis and lot of other stuff all makes it a great place to hang out and discuss any problems we face with the co-workers and management who are always ready to help us out.
ProsHelping hands all across, chances to excel in positions.
ConsMiscommunication between different departments.

Not so great and typical MNC culture. Learning depends on you and and your project.
Pros: Because of project and onsite client team I learned a lot and always in the middle of the latest technologies. Cons: Most of the daily time will go to support work and learning completely depends on the employee. most of the projects are in support only. Summary: Typical MNC where you don't see the hike every year because of their performance cycles which i didn't understand. Variable pay is a trap as always which comes to 75% max. There is no work-life balance in my project and the same for everyone. Management doesn't have much technical idea about our work and we mostly engages with clients and they will use for all the dirty work which they don't prefer to do over their weekends. Lastly 3 months Notice period and you cannot apply for leaves during this period which doesn't make any sense(at least 1 or 2 should be allowed per month). No Healthy atmosphere and culture from management.

Toxic Work Culture with no adherence to values.
This is my first company that I joined and I would suggest anyone joining here to please go with the different offer you have. HRs are non-responsive after you become a full time employee, they ignore queries and help at their will. Project managers have been advised from senior level, still they don't refer employees for promotion/increments/awards in the fear that employees might go over them in the ladder. Strict 90 days notice period which will affect your further scope of growth. Company projects are old with nobody knows what are they mostly working with, even seniors with 6+ years experience know less and expect you to cover them in their mistakes.
Prosonly Free Snacks
ConsLong Hours, Politics in Culture, Lack of potential growth, Ruthless HR

Gradual Technical Growth
During initial days, the start of a day is more challenging and later I have stabilised on understanding all the functionalities. I have learned the new functionalities related to project as well as the technical perspective. I have managed our team its a very good experience as a first time and I have balanced my team for individual utilization. Also I have good relationship with project managers so that I can easily get things what needed for my time. The hardest part of the job is to resolve issues in a short span of time. The most enjoyable moment in this project is after every release we have propose ideas how the changes will go in next phase and also after every release will go for party.
ConsMaintaining 9 hrs daily as mandatory

Co workers are friendly, easy to get along and hardworking. I have worked in client facing roles for more than one year and i enjoy the challenge of keeping the customer satisfied.

Fun workplace
The culture at Best Company is by far the greatest asset. You can tell that they truly care about the happiness of their employees. It's a really relaxed and calm environment, even though the work we do can be fast paced. I don't dread coming into work on Monday mornings and the managers are extremely patient and understanding. -Good Salary -Flexible With Vacation Time -Benefits -Fully Stocked Kitchen Although steps have been taken to reduce it, there is still a feeling of the company being more reactive than proactive with things sometimes being left to the last minute. • At times there seems to be a slight divide between the departments upstairs and downstairs, which may be down to the varied nature of the work being carried out in each department.

Have no review as joined during covid.
Cons-Management needs maturity . Better projects, better work hours required. Overall ok experience, with growth in work. Fresher level better growth. Experienced people may look out in other organisations. Too much of micro-management. Managers lazy, and unaware as to what is happening in the given projects. Not much interaction between client managers and virtusa managers, which gets difficult for technical team working in virtusa. Pros-Cloud training , domain level training provided for all. Also client provided training has been helpful.Working with some of the best in the industry. Fintech projects are best if you work in Virtusa.
ProsGood projects
ConsLong hours/odd time to work, immatured management

Low salaries, no work life balance, politics
Typical working hours are from 9:30pm to 6:30pm (flexible hours), but most of the time have to work late hours. If you work at client site, this varies (eg:- could be from 9am to 6pm, late hours till 8pm) QA processes are well established withing the company, therefore definitely learned quite a lot from different projects. Management cares that everything is delivered. Employee satisfaction does not seem to be a concern to Virtusa. Management should realize that motivated employees yield better results, happy employees will do work that is effective. If they feel that they are ignored, they will only put in the required amount of work and not go beyond that. Virtusa is a multicultural organization, anyone can join Virtusa regardless of religion, gender and university. Also Virtusa has a women's organization called WoV (Women of Virtusa). The hardest part of the job is when your Reportees are overlooked during appraisals. It is very disheartening as it is due to politics and not that individuals performance which an appraisal should be about. The best part about working at Virtusa are your team members that you get to know over the years. Virtusa has a lot of events so these are fun to attend if you work at Virtusa office. But if you are located at Client site you will miss these.
ProsLarge company with established procedures and processes, Job security, Great people to work with
ConsSalaries are quite low compared to the work that people put in, Politics play a huge role in Employee Appraisal Ratings and other benefits, No work life balance.

Big Company - Hidden Opportunities, Less Credit
I worked at VirtusaPolaris full-time (More than 4 years). There are lot of Pros as well as Cons in this company. Pros - Lot of learning opportunities(variety of tech talks, workshops, training sessions) - Good for start up your career - Friendly staff - Flexible working hours which is valuable for a family person - Working from home opportunity Cons - Client decide the contract period - Lack of vision towards the product development - Limited space to change between projects. - Not every employee treated equally, some are favored by managers and others not, some have to fight hard for the increment and some are easily getting the increments. - Lack of stress relieving strategies such as chill-out rooms, game rooms, etc
ProsFriendly staff, Training sessions, flexible working hours
ConsNo equality, low salary and increments compared to other local companies

Body Shop. Utterly disorganized, overly bureaucratic and just plain shady
NOTHING this company promised in the offer letter turned out to be true. I only stuck with them since I'd moved for the position and really didn't have another option. There were also difficult pre-employment conditions they didn't mention at all. By the time they mentioned anything about them the timeline to comply was quite short. Every part of the interview and background check process was done twice because they are disorganized. Half or more of their HR is in India with strict instructions to act as if they're in the US. US-based HR people tend not to contact candidates at midnight though. They didn't reimburse as promised for moving expenses. My manager won't return a phone call or email from me unless there's something HE wants. If I have a question about some policy or procedure I'm on my own.
