*Looking for an experienced Kindergarten Teacher for a Cambridge International School at Arumbakkam.
*Should have experience in teacher and handling KG children
*Excellent English communication skills.
Job Profile & Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum & Instruction
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans covering basic subjects like reading, phonics, math, and science.
2. Social & Emotional Development
- Behavior Management: Teach and enforce classroom rules, encouraging positive behavior, cooperation, and empathy.
- Conflict Resolution: Supervise students during playtime, recess, and meals, intervening to help children navigate peer interactions and share.
- Independence Building: Foster self-confidence and life skills, such as dressing themselves, listening, and following basic routines.
3. Student Assessment & Administration
- Progress Tracking: Regularly evaluate student performance and maintain detailed portfolios, attendance logs, and report cards.
- Developmental Monitoring: Observe children closely to catch learning challenges or developmental delays early, seeking interventions if necessary.
4. Family Communication
- Parent-Teacher Relations: Maintain an open line of communication via emails, apps, or scheduled conferences to discuss academic progress and behavior.
- Guidance: Collaborate with parents to support a child's holistic growth both in school and at home.
5. Health & Safety
- Classroom Maintenance: Ensure the classroom and play areas are clean, organized, and meet all health and safety standards.
- Supervision & Emergencies: Keep students safe from harm and respond promptly to minor injuries or illnesses.
- Play-Based Learning: Utilize songs, structured games, arts and crafts, and storytelling to make abstract concepts graspable and engaging.
- Individualized Attention: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate varying learning paces, styles, and special needs within the classroom.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Patience & Energy: High tolerance for noise, repetition, and the energetic demands of managing young children.
- Creativity: Ability to design exciting and varied activities that keep young minds engaged.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and non-verbal skills to communicate effectively with both children and adults.
