Job Title: Commi Chef
Location: Smoke Culture by Steve
Shift Time: 8 AM to 5 PM
Job Summary:
Smoke Culture by Steve is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Commi Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have basic kitchen experience and a strong interest in smoked meats and artisanal food preparation. Training will be provided, but discipline, consistency, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and running the smoker
- Managing and maintaining smoker temperature and fire control
- Preparing sauces, rubs, and marinades as per standard recipes
- Pickling and basic fermentation tasks
- Assisting in meat preparation and portioning
- Packing finished products hygienically for service or delivery
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment
- Following food safety and quality standards at all times
Requirements:
- Basic kitchen experience is required
- Willingness to work night shifts
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
- Physically fit and comfortable working long hours
- Interest in smoked food and slow cooking techniques is a plus
