Ab accountant manages, analyzes, and reports an organization's financial transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency. They compile financial statements, track income and expenses, maintain tax compliance, and provide data-driven insights to help businesses make sound financial and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain key financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Taxation: Compute taxes owed, prepare/file tax returns, and ensure all payments are made on time while adhering to local and federal regulations.
- Auditing: Conduct internal audits to verify financial accuracy, evaluate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist management in the creation of budgets, track financial performance against targets, and provide forecasts for long-term planning
