IoT protocols and related technologies (i.e. CIOT, NB-IoT, M1, EPS CIOT Optimizations, SMS, Data over NAS, Enhanced Coverage, PSM, Rate Controls, Access Controls, Mobility, OMA LWM2M, OneM2M, AWS IoT, CoAP, MQTT, HTTP, SDP, SOAP, etc.)
Product development (systems, device architectures, protocols, software) experience with cross-layer protocols, including PHY and higher layers.
System architecture definition, design, and specification.
Feature design in the context of large complex systems.
Design tradeoffs and performance analysis.
Data networking concepts and implementations.
Wireless communication standards (i.e. 3GPP, LTE, Wifi, 5G, UMTS, GERAN, etc.)
Protocol design in the some of the following areas:
NAS, PDCP, RRC, RLC, MAC, Data, VoLTE, etc.
Digital Communication and/or Information Theory.
Programming in C/C++ and Matlab.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of cellular based IoT technologies and solutions (e.g., 3GPP, NAS, AS, NB-IoT, M1, GERAN, slicing network, NR/5G, etc.) and IoT application/services. Experience with analyzing latest 3GPP and other specifications to derive system requirements and translating requirements into end-to-end designs Capability of theoretical analysis and simulation of features, algorithms, and implementation choices. Ability of supporting the implementation, optimization, and commercialization of IoT features by log analysis and problem solving. Successful collaboration in cross teams and/or cross companies. Familiarity with embedded telecommunication device architecture and operating systems (e.g., RTOS, Linux, etc.) Ability of presenting & documenting specification, designs, and other results to cross disciplinary teams. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
Education Requirements Required:
Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
PhD in Digital Communications preferred
