About this role:
Luniea is a digital marketing and creative agency delivering high-quality digital experiences for our clients. We are looking for a Web Developer who can build, customize, and maintain both custom-made websites and WordPress websites, depending on client needs.
This is a remote, long-term contractor role with consistent work, clear deliverables, and flexible scheduling.
What you will do:
- Build, customize, and maintain custom-made websites and WordPress websites
- Develop and modify custom code using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins, and create custom functionality when required
- Work with both custom builds and theme-based WordPress projects
- Optimize websites for performance, Core Web Vitals, and SEO
- Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices
- Create & support landing pages, integrations, and conversion optimization
- Collaborate closely with designers and the marketing team
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience building custom-made websites and WordPress websites
- Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Ability to work beyond page builders and handle custom development
- Experience customizing themes, plugins, and existing codebases
- Solid understanding of technical SEO and website performance
- Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
Nice to have:
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Experience with API integrations
- Basic knowledge of Git / version control
Engagement & Compensation:
- Remote contractor role
- Fixed monthly compensation based on an agreed and consistent scope of work
- Additional compensation applies only if the agreed scope significantly increases
- Flexible working hours
- Long-term contract with ongoing work
