The Lead Data Scientist – Gen AI is a key hands-on builder responsible for shaping and delivering complex, platform centric AI solutions across design, development, and deployment stages. This role requires leveraging substantial experience to build robust, scalable, and cutting-edge AI products, with a focus on agentic systems and advanced evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize advanced AI solutions, including multi-agent workflows, using frameworks such as LangChain and Google ADK.
- Design and implement robust governance and evaluation frameworks using platforms like LangFuse to ensure agentic AI systems are secure, reliable, and traceable.
- Partner with Product teams to translate product vision into concrete technical implementation plans.
- Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years Data Science experience
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing Generative AI and agentic AI solutions
- At least one end-to-end project experience using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), agentic AI, or advanced prompt engineering frameworks such as LangChain or Google ADK
- Exposure to AI governance and evaluation principles, including platforms like LangFuse
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a product-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment
- Ability to build partnerships with cross-function leaders
Education:
- Masters University degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field
