Mentor Together is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team. The COO will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization’s daily operations, ensuring the effective implementation of our programs, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-profit management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of Mentor Together, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of programs and services.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Continuously seek innovative approaches to improve program delivery and outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, government partners, educational and non-profit organizations.
Communicate the organization’s mission, vision, and impact to a wide range of audiences.
Represent Mentor Together at external events, conferences, and meetings.
Team Management:
Develop a high-performing team of program leadership, program development teams, program operations teams
Foster a positive and collaborative organizational culture that promotes Mentor Together’s core values of Youth Centricity, Impact Driven, Organizational & Team First, and Invigorating Workplace
Through ongoing performance management, promote professional growth and development across the organization’s human resources.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the organization’s annual budget in collaboration with the CEO.
Monitor financial performance, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the CEO and Trustees to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan.
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of programs and services.
Identify and pursue opportunities for funding and resource development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-profit management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong analytical, strategic planning and project management skills.
Strong entrepreneurial qualities to drive initiatives from scratch.
High accountability, conscientiousness, and attention to detail
Proven track record of successfully managing operations, teams, and budgets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for youth development and mentoring.
