Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Food Processing Industry
Location: Sodepur, West Bengal
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to manage maintenance activities in a food processing unit. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery used in food production to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of food processing machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults in production equipment and utility systems
- Ensure minimum downtime of machines and quick restoration of operations
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and machine performance
- Coordinate with production team to ensure smooth workflow
- Identify recurring issues and suggest long-term corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in maintenance work
- Handle installation and commissioning of new machinery when required
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Candidates must be from FMCG or Food Processing industry only
Required Experience
- Experience in maintenance of food production or FMCG machinery preferred
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, etc.
Skills Required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems
- Understanding of production line machinery in food industry
- Ability to work under pressure and minimize downtime
- Team coordination with production and quality departments
Preferred Profile
- Candidates with prior experience in biscuit, dairy, snacks, beverage, or packaged food industries
- Familiar with hygiene and safety standards in food manufacturing plants
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
