Position Overview: The Senior Sales Executive in the tyre industry is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by developing and managing key accounts, leading sales initiatives, and mentoring junior sales staff. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and large clients.
- Present and demonstrate tyre products to potential customers, highlighting their features and benefits.
- Achieving Sales Targets:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Mentoring and Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior sales staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in sales techniques and customer service.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using CRM software.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay updated on the company’s range of tyre products, including specifications and pricing.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Educate customers on the appropriate selection, usage, and maintenance of tyres.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or Senior Sales Executive in the tyre or automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, customer service practices, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically works in an office environment and requires regular visits to customer sites.
- Standard working hours apply, with flexibility needed to meet customer schedules and sales targets.
- Occasional travel is required for client meetings, sales calls, and trade shows.
