Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at [Restaurant Name]. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process cash, credit/debit card transactions, and handle any necessary change. Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Order Management: Take and enter customer orders . Ensure accuracy of orders before processing.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep cashier station clean and organized. Perform routine cleaning tasks as required.
- Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies. Ensure proper handling and storage of cash and other sensitive information.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service and resolve any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attributes: Friendly, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle stressful situations with a positive attitude.
- Availability: Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Compensation:
- Competitive wage based on experience.
