Job Summary:
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory-related activities within the hypermart, including stock control, inventory accuracy, stock audits, ordering, and storage. The role ensures optimal stock levels and smooth operational flow across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all departments.
- Ensure proper stock availability to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Conduct regular stock audits, including cycle counts and full physical stock verification.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and take corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit stock audit reports to management.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team for timely ordering and replenishment.
- Track and manage slow-moving, fast-moving, and expired items.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures and audit systems.
- Supervise receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Maintain proper documentation and inventory records.
- Analyze inventory data and provide reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage inventory staff and provide necessary training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1– 3 years of experience in inventory/store management, preferably in a hypermart or retail environment.
