Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee the complete manufacturing operations of our textile accessories manufacturing unit located in Tronica City. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, quality control, maintenance, cost optimization, inventory control, safety compliance, and timely delivery of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities Production Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.
- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum machine utilization.
- Monitor knitting, weaving, warping, dyeing, finishing, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Reduce production losses, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure on-time execution of customer orders.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, technicians, and workers.
- Maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor.
- Conduct regular training and skill development programs.
- Handle recruitment and manpower planning requirements.
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for process improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance & Engineering
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Monitor utility consumption including power, air compressors, HVAC, and other services.
Inventory & Stores Management
- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
- Coordinate with purchase and stores departments for uninterrupted production.
- Control inventory levels and reduce dead stock.
Cost Control & Productivity
- Monitor production costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement cost-saving projects related to manpower, energy, and materials.
- Improve productivity through process optimization and lean manufacturing practices.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, labour laws, ESI, PF, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain safety standards and conduct regular safety audits.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Analyze production data and present performance reports to management.
- Track KPIs such as efficiency, rejection rates, machine utilization, and delivery performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 8–15 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in textile, elastic, narrow fabric, garment accessories, or related industries.
- Minimum 5 years experience managing a factory or production unit.
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, production planning, inventory management, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
