Position Summary
Kalike is seeking a committed and field-oriented Program Coordinator – FPCL & Livelihoods to support the operations of GiriNadu Farmer Producer Company Limited (FPCL) and coordinate the implementation of the Wheelbarrows Project aimed at reducing drudgery among farming communities.
The role requires close engagement with farmers, shareholder members, community institutions, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of FPCL activities and livelihood initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesFPCL Operations Support
- Support the day-to-day operations of GiriNadu FPCL.
- Coordinate procurement, inventory management, and distribution of agricultural inputs and services.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely availability of quality inputs.
- Maintain records related to sales, purchases, inventory, and shareholder transactions.
- Assist in issuing share certificates, receipts, invoices, and member-related documentation.
- Support statutory compliance activities, registrations, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and member engagement activities.
- Prepare operational reports and updates as required.
- Support business development and revenue-generation initiatives of the FPCL.
Wheelbarrows Project Coordination
- Coordinate field-level implementation of the Wheelbarrows Project in assigned villages.
- Mobilize farmers, producer groups, and community stakeholders.
- Organize demonstrations, awareness programs, field trials, and user feedback sessions.
- Coordinate with fabricators, vendors, and project teams for production, delivery, and quality monitoring.
- Track implementation progress and resolve field-level issues in consultation with project teams.
- Collect project data and support monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and project documentation.
Community Mobilization & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain positive relationships with farmers, shareholder members, village institutions, and local stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between the FPCL, project teams, and community members.
- Encourage participation of farmers and community members in project activities.
- Represent Kalike and the FPCL during community meetings, workshops, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of project and FPCL activities.
- Prepare monthly reports, case studies, success stories, and field updates.
- Document best practices, learnings, and impact stories from the field.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in rural development, agriculture, livelihoods, FPO/FPC operations, community mobilization, or NGO programs.
- Experience working with farmers and community institutions will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with rural communities and farmer groups.
- Basic understanding of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs/FPOs) and livelihood programs.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Fluency in Kannada is mandatory; knowledge of English is desirable.
- Willingness to travel extensively within project locations.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and organizational norms.
