Senior SEO + GEO/AEO Strategist (AI Search
Specialist)

The short version
We are looking for a senior search strategist who has already moved past classic SEO into
GEO and AEO: the practice of getting brands surfaced, mentioned, and cited inside AI answers
across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. You will own search strategy
for a portfolio of clients, starting with a flagship US-based B2B SaaS (LMS) account, and you
will work across other accounts as the portfolio grows.
This is not a role for someone who only knows frameworks in theory. You should be able to look
at a brand and map exactly how to make it rank on Google and get quoted by AI engines, and
then prove with real examples that you have done it before.
What you will own
- Build and own the full SEO + GEO + AEO strategy for each client, tied to real business
goals and pipeline rather than vanity rankings.
- Run keyword and prompt research across both traditional search (Google) and AI
search engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
- Track AI visibility and answer-share: monitor where and how often client brands appear
and get cited in AI responses, and report on it in plain language.
- Lead competitor analysis and content planning that targets search rankings and AI
citation likelihood at the same time.
- Produce clear, step-by-step technical SEO and on-page recommendations that the client
or internal team can implement.
- Define schema and structured data strategy and internal linking architecture.
- Deliver clean monthly reports with fortnightly update check-ins, and present them
confidently to clients.
- Run several client projects in parallel while keeping timelines, quality, and
communication tight.
Must have
- 7+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a track record you can demonstrate.
- At least 2 GEO or AEO projects you have personally worked on, with concrete examples
of the approach and the outcome.
- A portfolio or set of case studies you can walk us through live. We will ask you to show
specific work: what you did, why you did it, and what changed as a result. This is non-
negotiable.
- Strong command of AI tools as part of your daily workflow. You use LLMs (ChatGPT,
Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) for research, drafting, and analysis with judgement, not blind
copy-paste.
- Fluency with the core SEO stack: keyword and backlink tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, or
similar), crawl and audit tools (Screaming Frog or equivalent), Google Search Console,
GA4, and schema validation.
- Proven ability to ship finished outputs on time: strategy docs, research sets,
recommendations, and reports that are client-ready without heavy hand-holding.
- Genuine project ownership. You can run an account end to end and keep it on track.
- Clear written and spoken English. Some of this role is client-facing.
Nice to have
- Experience with US or international B2B and SaaS clients.
- Real depth in structured data and technical SEO.
- Experience building AI or automation workflows (for example n8n, custom GPTs, or
scripted reporting).
- Content strategy across TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU funnel stages.
