We are seeking an experienced, student-focused AI Teacher to design and deliver practical, hands-on AI courses for learners at secondary, higher secondary, and early college/skill-training levels. The ideal candidate will make AI concepts accessible, develop curriculum and project work, and mentor students on ethical and responsible AI use.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver classroom and lab-based lessons on core AI topics such as machine learning, deep learning, data preprocessing, model evaluation, and deployment.
- Create structured syllabi, lesson plans, slide decks, coding notebooks, assessments, and project briefs aligned to learners’ levels.
- Teach programming foundations relevant to AI (Python, libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Supervise and mentor students on hands-on projects and competitions (capstone projects, hackathons).
- Assess student progress with quizzes, practical tests, and project reviews; provide constructive feedback.
- Incorporate responsible AI practices: fairness, transparency, privacy, and safety into teaching.
- Maintain and set up lab environments (local machines, cloud accounts, GPU resources) and open-source tools.
- Coordinate with program managers and community partners to align AI training with local needs and employment pathways.
- Keep course content current with industry trends and emerging AI tools.
- Conduct workshops, demo sessions, and teacher-training where needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electronics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in AI/ML roles, or 1–2 years teaching AI/ML with demonstrable student outcomes.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Experience designing hands-on curricula and project-based learning.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills.
- Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and bias mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching in NGO/charitable/education settings or working with underserved learners.
- Experience deploying models (APIs, simple web apps) and using cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with MLOps basics, data visualization, and explainable AI tools.
- Certifications in AI/ML (Coursera, edX, Google, etc.) or a strong portfolio of projects and student outcomes.
