This Role: This role is an opportunity to scale our stationary storage business and contribute to India’s decarbonization journey. While it is inevitable that renewable energy will be a big pillar of our energy demand in the near future it is equally indisputable that stationary storage capacity will be required to make that a reality. This role will be responsible for riding those tailwinds and driving business growth for Cygni.
Location: Hyderabad (TS)
Responsibilities:
1. Solar & Wind EPC player partnerships
- Build deep B2B partnerships with Solar & Wind EPC players to become their de facto choice for storage solutions
2. Sales planning
- Undertake sales planning with actionable evidence / pipeline for growth
- Take ownership of sales targets
3. Market Analysis
- Identify new use cases for storage solutions where existing products may be a good techno-commercial fit
- Take up validation / POC to establish value and rapidly scale new offering
4. New Product Development
- Work collaboratively with the Product Development team / Partners to translate market requirements / feedback into products
5. Collaboration with Marketing
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and drive Cygni’s participation in relevant forums
- Collaborate on the creation of marketing strategies that resonate with the target audience
Professional qualifications:
- Engineering undergraduate
- MBA or Masters in Engineering is a plus
- 10 to 15 years of proven experience of successfully winning and delivering solar projects (with or without storage).
- Experience of dealing with various System Integrators (SI) and Renewable Energy EPC players is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Lithium Ion battery and its sizing in various applications is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience of sourcing projects in the 25kWp to 1MWp range through non-tender route

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of the renewable energy industry
