Company Overview
We are a fast-growing, innovative startup developing cutting-edge hardware solutions. Our environment is dynamic, collaborative, and hands-on. If you love building things from scratch, solving hardware puzzles, and seeing your work directly impact the final product, you will thrive here.
Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Soldering Technician to join our core technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for high-precision soldering, PCB assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic components. Because we are a startup, you won’t just be sitting at a bench doing repetitive tasks—you will work closely with our engineering team to prototype new designs, improve assembly processes, and help scale our hardware production.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Precision Soldering: Perform high-quality manual soldering of electronic components onto PCBs, including Through-Hole (THT) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT/SMD) components.
- Prototyping & Assembly: Assemble prototype boards, wire harnesses, and complete hardware units based on schematics, engineering drawings, or verbal instructions.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct basic functional testing of assembled boards using multimeters, oscilloscopes, or custom test jigs to identify and fix defects (e.g., solder bridges, cold joints, faulty components).
- Rework & Repair: Perform precision rework, component replacement, and modifications on populated PCBs without damaging the boards.
- Inventory & Tool Management: Maintain a clean, organized ESD-safe workstation. Monitor stock levels of soldering consumables (solder wire, flux, tips) and components.
- Startup Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers to provide feedback on "Design for Manufacturing" (DFM) to make future boards easier to assemble.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electronic component soldering and PCB assembly (experience in an R&D or prototyping environment is a big plus).
- Technical Skills: * Excellent hand-eye coordination and expertise with fine-pitch soldering irons, hot-air rework stations, and magnifying tools/microscopes.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with various component packages (e.g., 0603, 0805, QFN, SOIC).
- Startup Mindset: * Highly adaptable and willing to take on diverse tasks (e.g., helping with mechanical assembly or field testing support if needed).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive "get-it-done" attitude.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Education: ITI, Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: ₹15,000 per month.
- An exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing startup from an early stage.
- A hands-on learning environment where your feedback directly shapes the product.
- A collaborative, flat-hierarchy team culture.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
