Job Summary
Delivers high-quality technical training and support on Cummins products, engines, systems, and service tools to distributors, dealers, customers, and service personnel. Responsible for enhancing technician capability, repair quality, product knowledge, and customer satisfaction through effective training delivery, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Acts as a subject matter expert in engine systems, fuel systems, diagnostics, aftertreatment technologies, and service support tools.
Key Responsibilities Technical Training Delivery
- Deliver instructor-led and hands-on technical training programs for distributors, dealers, service technicians, and customer personnel.
- Develop and execute training plans aligned with business and service capability requirements.
- Facilitate technical learning sessions that improve technician efficiency, troubleshooting capability, and repair quality.
- Customize training content, presentations, and learning materials to meet specific audience and business needs.
- Conduct training evaluations and incorporate participant feedback to improve program effectiveness.
- Maintain training records, certification data, and service capability reports.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical guidance and support for engine, fuel system, aftertreatment, electrical, and control system issues.
- Support field personnel in diagnosing and resolving complex product and service concerns.
- Assist service teams with troubleshooting using Cummins diagnostic tools and service applications.
- Analyze field issues and recommend corrective actions to improve service effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in problem resolution activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Product & System Expertise
- Serve as a technical resource for Cummins engine platforms and associated systems.
- Provide training and support related to:
- Mechanical engine systems
- Fuel systems including PT Fuel, HPI, HPCR, and MCRS
- Aftertreatment Systems (ATS) and emissions control technologies
- Engine electrical systems and controls
- CAN communication systems and network diagnostics
- Engine wiring diagrams and schematic interpretation
- FAE and Quantum engine applications
- Ensure training content reflects current product technologies, service procedures, and engineering updates.
Training Content Development & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Train-the-Trainer programs and maintain technical expertise on emerging technologies.
- Develop, update, and maintain technical training materials and documentation.
- Monitor field performance and training effectiveness to identify capability gaps.
- Support service excellence initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and product support teams to ensure training accuracy and relevance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with distributors, dealers, customers, service teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Support capability development initiatives across service networks.
- Promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence throughout the organization.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent technical experience in diesel engines, power systems, or service operations may be considered.
- Technical certifications in engine diagnostics, emissions systems, or service training are advantageous.
Education, Licenses & Certifications
- Degree, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Technical certifications related to engine diagnostics, emissions systems, service training, or technical instruction are preferred.
- This position may require licensing or authorization for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and powertrain technologies.
- Expertise in fuel systems including:
- PT Fuel Systems
- HPI (High Pressure Injection)
- HPCR (High Pressure Common Rail)
- MCRS (Modular Common Rail Systems)
- Comprehensive understanding of Aftertreatment Systems (ATS) and emissions technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
- Proficiency in interpreting engine wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of CAN communication protocols and vehicle network systems.
- Familiarity with engine controls, sensors, actuators, and electronic systems.

- Experience in service operations, troubleshooting, and customer support environments is advantageous.
