§ Ensuring the provision of safe environment in both preventive and promotive aspects for all patients, relatives, visitors and staff
§ Maintaining relevant documents and adhering to established reporting system
§ Participating effectively in hospital infection control policies; accept responsibility for own infection control practice and be willing to challenge others’ practice.
§ Predicting and identifying emergency situations, to prepare the unit for such and adhere to established reporting systems
§ Assisting with stock taking and inventory management in the OPDs, keeping in mind the need for lean practices. Ensuring stock levels of non-clinical supplies are maintained through ordering, storing and rotating stock.
§ Ensuring that the consulting rooms are tidy at all times adequately stocked with essential items
§ Assisting with collection of vaccines, medications, consumables and other items from the designated stations such as the local government or pharmacy
§ Ensuring patient safety by following patient safety goals, including provision of care for the vulnerable patients. Ensuring safe transportation of the patient for diagnostic tests/other wards or units.
§ Maintaining relevant documents and adhere to established documentation and reporting systems
§ Assisting with procedures as assigned by the supervising registered nurse
§ Assisting clinicians with chaperoning according to the hospital’s policy
§ To clean equipment and instruments on a daily basis, including trolley stands, dressing trays, forceps, bowls etc. To monitor and report any faulty equipment to the nursing supervisor immediately
§ Answering the telephones and dealing with enquiries and/or taking messages
§ Answering patients’ call bell to determine their needs, and communicate appropriately with the nurse in charge
§ Provide clerical support including photocopying and filing, retrieving medical reports as required
§ Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their families.
§ To undertake prescribed mandatory training in accordance with Hospital’s policy, for example Fire training, Infection Control training etc.
§ Providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
§ Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Carrying out additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by the nursing in-charges
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
