Key duties include vendor management, inventory control, and coordinating with internal departments to meet procurement needs. The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. Responsibilities
- Vendor management: Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Procurement and ordering: Manage the purchase order process, from creating purchase orders to tracking and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
- Inventory control: Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory, preventing stockouts and minimizing costs.
- Quality assurance: Ensure purchased products and services meet the organization's quality standards and requirements.
- Internal coordination: Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and forecast demand.
- Reporting and analysis: Prepare and maintain records of purchases, invoices, and delivery information. Analyze market trends and costs, and prepare reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
- Issue resolution: Address and resolve any issues with orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree
- Experience: Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role
