Position Title : Deputy Finance Controller

Qualification- Chartered Accountant

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate closure of books in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, Ind AS, GAAP, etc.).
- Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Experience in consolidation of Indian and Foreign Entities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to management.
- Monitor departmental spending and financial performance against approved budgets.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems and financial governance frameworks.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and facilitate audit closure activities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial procedures.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Support treasury activities including banking relationships and fund management.
- Assist in optimizing cash utilization and financial risk management.
Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
- Provide financial analysis, management reports, and performance dashboards.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and business case evaluations.
- Partner with business units to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting team members.
- Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Participate in ERP implementation, upgrades, and optimization projects.
Experience
- 10–16 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance and consolidation
- SAP experience preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Expertise in financial reporting and consolidation.
- Advanced financial analysis and forecasting skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
