Overview:
Software Quality engineers work with software developers to improve software products during development. They will participate in testing activities within Software Development Lifecycle from reviewing/evaluating requirements, developing test cases, executing both manual and automated test cases, to reporting and tracking defects in defect management tool.
Responsibilities:
- Work in two-week sprints writing automation that tests existing and new features of the HomewiseDocs web and API platforms using technologies like Cypress etc.

Automation code, architecture, and infrastructure development with a focus on maintainability, usability, scalability and reliability.
- Be a positive influence on the team through design reviews, collaborating with other developers on the team, and ensuring adherence to coding and testing standards.

Work closely with Team lead to understand the future business direction with the goal of architecting the platform optimally.

Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to web technologies, Agentic ,microservices, cloud computing (AWS), and automated unit testing.

Participate in our engineering guilds, focus groups, and tech talks to contribute to the research and implementation of new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Bug & Test Management Tools such as JIRA,
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.

Understanding of Agile development.
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience in Software Testing/ Automation

Good knowledge on Automation Framework Development
- Good Knowledge with NodeJs, JavaScript, Java, or other similar languages

Knowledge on working with creating, consuming, and testing REST web services and APIs

Writing SQL queries and designing databases (MySql is a plus)

Understanding of source code management tools such as Git, and the workflows associated with them (branching and merging)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

knowledge on AI Coding Assistant tools.
