Key Responsibilities
- Footage Assembly: Review raw material to identify the best shots and trim segments into a logical, engaging sequence.
- Narrative Flow: Manipulate footage to maintain continuity and ensure the story follows a clear and effective structure.
- Audio-Visual Enhancement: Integrate music, dialogue, sound effects, and graphics to add value and immersion to scenes.
- Color Correction & Grading: Adjust colors, contrast, and saturation to achieve a specific mood or consistent look across various clips.
- Asset Management: Organize digital files following proper naming conventions and storage procedures for easy retrieval.
- Collaborative Refinement: Work closely with directors and producers to incorporate feedback into rough and final cuts. Indeed +6
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer.
- Artistic Sensitivity: A strong sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling to keep audiences engaged.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and compression techniques.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, time management to meet strict deadlines, and clear communication for team collaboration.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, broadcasting, or a related communications field is typically preferred. (B.sc or M.sc in video production)
