Education
- Should be a Graduate Mechanical Engineer preferably with Post graduate degree / Diploma in Materials Management.
- Should have 8 to 12 years of experience in Manufacturing ( both castings & heavy fabrication ) in reputed companies / MNCs.
- Domain Expertise in the following.
- Supplier Onboarding with due diligence and evaluation
- RFQ and Negotiations skills
- Global Sourcing understanding preferred.
- Cost management
- On time Delivery
- Compliance requirements in sourcing.
- Vendor development process.
- Experience of Inventory, procurement and subcontracting audits’ handling is preferred.
- Sourcing of castings, forgings, fabricated parts & machined components.
- Strong understanding of Foundry processes including pattern making , casting pouring , heat treatment etc
- Good understanding of Fabricated parts ( including heavy fabrication ) , Precision Machining & associated accuracies
Soft Skills-
- Excellent communicator in spoken and written English.
- Documentation and records maintenance.
- Data analysis and decision making.
SAP Expertise
- Knowledge of MM modules in sourcing.
- Exposure to SAP HANA is preferred
Personality -
- Good communicator
- Fluent in written, spoken, communications in local and English language.
- Solution providing approach with objectivity in mind.
- Should motivate and develop team members
- Good in giving & open to take feedback.
- Experience in people management.
