Position: Senior Manager – Operations
Location: Chennai (Ambattur)
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager – Operations to leadend-to-end operations across three spice processing facilities located in Chennai and Guntur.
The role involves managing a combined installed capacity of 20,000 MT per annum of processed spices while ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, compliance, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operations across three manufacturing facilities.
Manage production planning and execution for 20,000 MT annual processing capacity.
Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
Prepare and manage annual operating budgets and ensure adherence to operational cost targets.
Ensure achievement of OTIF (On Time In Full) metrics to enhance customer satisfaction.
Lead and manage a workforce of approximately 120 employees across locations.
Develop and implement training and development programs for key operations personnel.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, food safety, quality, and statutory standards.
Monitor plant maintenance, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, supply chain, and sales teams for seamless execution.
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Candidate Profile
10–15 years of experience in the food processing industry.
Strong experience in managing HACCP-compliant and/or BRC-certified foodmanufacturing facilities.
Prior experience in spice processing/manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Proven leadership experience in handling large teams and multi-location operations.
Strong operational planning, budgeting, and process improvement capabilities.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Tamil-speaking candidates will be preferred.
Educational Qualifications
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
MBA in Operations Management will be an added advantage.
