Role Overview: We are looking for a Business Development Executive Intern who is eager to learn the fundamentals of international sales and business development.
During the internship, the selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in lead generation, client communication, proposal writing, and sales process management, particularly on freelance platforms like Upwork.
The shift will be rotational based on business requirements and market segments, and targets will be assigned on a weekly and monthly basis.
High-performing candidates will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time Business Development Executive role after successful completion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source potential leads through Upwork and other freelance platforms.
- Select relevant projects from portals and respond to client requirements and queries.
- Assist in preparing highly customized proposals based on client needs.
- Understand client requirements and prepare detailed requirement briefs for internal teams.
- Coordinate with development, design, and project teams to understand project scope, timelines, and proposed solutions.
- Assist in preparing Scope of Work (SOW) documents, project estimates, and solution summaries.
- Support the sales team in preparing project documentation, presentations, and client communications.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, client interactions, and sales activities in CRM and tracking tools.
- Follow up with prospects and assist in moving opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, discovery calls, and follow-up discussions.
- Assist in preparing project quotations and commercial proposals.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients through professional communication.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on lead generation, proposal submissions, and sales activities.
- Support the team in client onboarding and documentation processes after project closure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing)
- Strong interest in Business Development or IT Sales
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of Upwork or freelance platforms is a plus
- Ability to understand client requirements and respond professionally
- Strong learning attitude and proactive mindset
- Comfortable communicating with international clients.

Full-Time Conversion
After successful completion of 3 months internship, candidates may be offered a full-time Business Development Executive role with a salary of ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month, based on performance of internship and business needs.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
