Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Strong understanding of GST, PF, TDS regulations, and compliance procedures.
· Oversee GST compliance activities, including registration, filing of returns, reconciliation of GST data, and handling GST audits. Stay updated on changes in GST regulations and ensure timely compliance.
· Overseeing PF (Provident Fund) filings and compliance. Managing employee PF records and ensuring accurate deductions.
· Prepare and file income tax returns, TDS returns, and other tax filings in compliance with IT regulations. Coordinate with external tax consultants, if necessary, to ensure accurate and timely filings.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Ensure that financial transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with accounting standards.
· Assist in the development and monitoring of the institute's budget, with a focus on tax planning and optimization. Analyze tax implications of financial decisions and provide recommendations to management.
· Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits. Providing accurate documentation and records for audit purposes.
· Providing insights on financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
· Keeping up-to-date with changes in financial legislation and Practices.
