POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Systems Governance (SG) Consultant is to advance systems utilization and strategies for Supply Planning and Demand Planning at an expert level. It requires the knowledge to apply systems strategies to complex business scenarios employing critical business knowledge. This role requires business intimacy, strategic system application and advanced level collaboration with the Logistics Operations organization to ensure APO reflects and delivers key business outputs in the face of ongoing business strategy changes.
In addition to ensuring business deliverables are met, the SG Consultant is responsible to drive improvements in System Centerline processes, to sustain in process metrics via Health Checks, to train Functional Teams for system related activities and to informally coaching the SG Analysts and SG Sr Analysts in their day to day tasks. The SG Consultant will also possess project management skills needed to drive Process/System Improvements as well as successfully enable change management.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide on-going business application support for Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Operation Systems

Support SGA’s to achieve optimized output from System as per current Business strategies.

Drive In-process Metrics important for System Health.

Execute System Centerline (Maintain System Parameters).

Identify, develop and implement best practices, Resolve end user system/process issues

Work on Business Process Standardization

Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) tools as necessary
Maximize existing technology by leading the development of sustainable processes & system usage metrics

Develop system wellness/health-check processes including compliance & metric tracking

Execute sustainable plan for driving system utilization

Be the Process Leader for systems training
Support business expansion initiatives via seamless systems integration

Establish impact of new technology on Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Operation Systems along with Technology Team.

Act as a business system expert to support integration of new technology, corporate acquisitions, location transitions within current business processes / systems

Identify opportunity areas for new system solutions
Project Management

Lead Project management activities (charter, scope, plan, implementation, control etc.) to drive systems related projects

Provide both business process & system expertise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree
-
At least 4 years of related experience
-
Must have strong business background in any one/ all processes within Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Operations

Must have excellent understanding / keen inclination towards systems viz SAP-APO, SAP-R/3 or relevant systems used in Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in Engineering or Equivalent

At least 6 years of related experience

Professional certifications - SAP certified Professional, APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) Certified Professional, CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) Certification

Experience dealing with U.S. based companies

Advanced MS Office computer skills preferred (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
