Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design review, and execution of civil engineering projects.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and government authorities.
- Establish and monitor quality control systems to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and manage junior engineers and site teams, ensuring effective task allocation and performance.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures.
- Liaise with government agencies and statutory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and clearances.
- Prepare and review project estimates, budgets, and cost plans; monitor expenditures and optimize resource utilization.
- Approve materials, vendors, and oversee procurement processes in line with project requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings, and records.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress reports, and project updates to stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
- Drive innovation and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–12 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects, preferably in infrastructure, PWD/CPWD, or airport projects.
- Strong experience in project management, construction supervision, and stakeholder coordination.
- Good knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage.
