We are looking for an experienced US Accountant with a strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles and hands-on experience supporting U.S.-based clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work directly with a U.S. CPA firm and develop a long-term career in public accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting services for U.S. clients.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare accounting workpapers and supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support tax preparation and compliance processes.
- Communicate professionally with team members and clients.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with U.S. accounting clients.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CA, ACCA, EA, or candidates pursuing professional certifications.
- Experience working in a CPA firm or public accounting environment.
- Knowledge of U.S. payroll processing.
- Experience with tax preparation support for Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Familiarity with Xero, Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, and other cloud-based accounting tools.
