Permanent Day Shift ABOUT DURABLE POLYMERS Durable Polymers is a Lucknow-based manufacturer of PU foam, silicone foam, non-woven fibre, and engineered polymer components for Indian Railways, automotive OEMs, and industrial clients. We operate fully in-house — design, tooling, production, and testing — across 250,000 sq ft of manufacturing space.
ROLE IN ONE LINE Own the quality function end-to-end — manage the QC team, maintain testing standards, and serve as the primary interface with inspectors and third-party agencies during inspections. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the QC team — set daily priorities, review test results, and ensure documentation compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for all third-party inspectors, RDSO officials, and customer QC representatives during inspections. Prepare the facility and documentation for inspections; brief the team on inspection protocols.
Own all quality records — test reports, NCRs, corrective actions, and audit trails. Establish and maintain in-house testing procedures for PU foam, silicone foam, and fiber products. Coordinate with production to resolve quality deviations and implement corrective actions. Monitor incoming material quality; approve or reject batches based on defined acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with relevant standards — RDSO, IS, or customer-specified specifications. Report quality metrics and inspection outcomes to management after every inspection. MUST HAVE B.Sc. or B.E. / B.Tech — Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Mechanical Engineering Hands-on experience with foam or polymer testing — density, tensile, tear, compression Prior experience handling third-party or RDSO inspections independently Strong documentation discipline — test reports, NCRs, corrective actions Minimum 6 years in QC in a manufacturing environment GOOD TO HAVE Knowledge of RDSO specifications for railway foam and fibre products ISO 9001 internal auditor experience Familiarity with Karl Fischer, tensile testing, and hardness measurement equipment NUMBERS THAT MATTER Manages full QC team and lab operations Primary interface with inspectors during all third-party inspections Signs off on all quality records and test reports ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be comfortable representing the company directly with inspectors and officials Inspection readiness at all times is a core expectation of this role
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
