Suggest and formulate mathematical equations and methodologies to address specific research objectives.
Work on complex mathematical problems, perform data analysis and interpret results to contribute to research findings.
Work closely with research teams to design experiments, simulations, and data collection procedures.
Assist in data cleaning, processing, and statistical analysis, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research data.
Contribute to the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and presentations, incorporating mathematical insights.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in mathematical research methods and tools, applying them to ongoing projects.
Participate in research discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Provide guidance and support to junior researchers and interns as needed.
Requirements
- Master's or higher in Mathematics or a Mathematics-heavy field (Engineering/Statistics/etc). Must have a strong mathematical foundation.
- Proficiency in mathematical modelling, equation formulation, and problem-solving.
- A solid understanding of statistical analysis; especially time series analysis, data manipulation, and mathematical software tools is a plus.
- Ability to use and understand code such as Python or Lean is a huge plus.
- A solid understanding of combinatorics, group theory, invariant theory or representation theory is a huge plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, researchers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex research problems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey mathematical concepts to non-experts.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and research tasks.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with research methodologies, experimental design, and data collection processes.
- Knowledge of relevant mathematical literature and the ability to apply cutting-edge research techniques.
