Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Service Electrician to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical installation, fault diagnosis, servicing, and repair of KOEL Diesel Generator (DG) sets, AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) panels, control wiring, and associated electrical systems at various client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the electrical installation, cabling, termination, and commissioning of Kirloskar Green DG sets according to standard engineering layouts and KOEL guidelines.
- Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose complex electrical faults in DG sets, including alternators, AVRs (Automatic Voltage Regulators), electronic governors, starter motors, and battery charging systems.
- Control Panel Maintenance: Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams to inspect, wire, and repair AMF panels, PLC controllers, synchronizing panels, and changeover switches.
- Routine & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct periodic electrical health checks, insulation resistance tests (meggering), voltage checks, and load trial assessments at client facilities.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, working at heights safety guidelines, and the correct utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Customer Support & Reporting: Interact professionally with clients on-site to explain technical issues, resolve breakdown complaints promptly, and prepare precise field service reports for submission.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI / NCTVT in Electrician trade or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- License: Valid PWD Electrical Supervisor or Wireman License is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial Diesel Generator sets (experience specifically with KOEL/Kirloskar engines is a major advantage).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, control panel wiring, alternator functioning, and electrical safety standards.
- Soft Skills: Good troubleshooting mindset, ability to work independently under pressure during emergency breakdowns, and strong customer-handling skills.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and be willing to travel to local client sites for field service.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
