Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To prepare and deliver fun, informative and interactive presentations to children and community organisations – liaising with the Indian Education Director, Mission Rabies.
- To grow the education programme by developing positive and effective working relationships with education stakeholders (LEAs, government officials), schools, Mission Rabies and WVS staff.
- To assist with ongoing development of activities for use with young people
- Deliver training to health workers / volunteers / teachers in the delivery of lessons about rabies (train-the-trainer)
- Develop schedules for the delivery of education work, track project performance, hit deadlines and assure the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
- Provide evaluation and feedback on the materials and activities and advise on amendments and improvements.
- Produce monthly report for India Education Director, Mission Rabies
- Attend and represent WVS and Mission Rabies at Education Shows, Family and Children Festivals and other Events as required.
- Extensive travel will be required - primarily throughout home state and then possibly to other states.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Teaching Qualification/ experience in a similar role. NOTE: Equivalent experience working in schools or with youth groups may be considered.
- Experience of delivering self-development activities with young people
- A passion for animal welfare
- A strong team player
- Self-motivated with demonstration of organizational and self-management ability
- Confident and outgoing, dynamic, energetic, engaging and fun
- Creativity and enthusiasm
- Proficient in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English, Hindi and {Local language of home state}
- A full drivers’ licence
- Clean police record check / Certificate of no prior convictions
- No previous employment termination for disciplinary behaviour or bad job performance
- The ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends occasionally when the charity requires.
- Willingness to work in an environment with animals
- The right to work in India.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Understanding of the education system for 7-11 year-olds
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of animal welfare, public health or One Health issues
