We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in DNS configuration, SSL certificate generation and implementation, and web hosting applications. In addition to troubleshooting web application issues and supporting web servers like Apache, the role will involve product testing and filing bugs to ensure the smooth operation of our applications. Strong communication skills and a minimum of 2 years of customer support experience are required
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and configure DNS for web applications.
Generate and implement SSL certificates to ensure secure web communications.
Troubleshoot web application access issues and diagnose https error codes.
Provide support for web hosting applications and web servers, including Apache.
Assist customers with resolving technical issues via remote access tools.
Conduct product testing to identify issues or improvements.
File detailed bug reports with development teams and track their resolution.
Respond to and resolve support requests efficiently through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and customer interactions.
Provide clear and detailed communication with clients, both verbally and in writing.
Collaborate with other teams for complex issues requiring escalation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Expertise in DNS configuration and SSL certificate management.
Strong understanding of web hosting applications and web server environments, particularly Apache.
Ability to troubleshoot https error codes and web application issues.
Experience in product testing and filing bug reports.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer support, taking remote access and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of basic networking concepts (a plus).
Experience working with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
Familiarity with network protocols and configurations.
Knowledge of Linux or other operating systems used in web hosting environments.
