Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Pathology Laboratory Technologist with 5–8 years of experience in a diagnostic pathology laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sample collection, processing, testing support, quality control, equipment maintenance, and accurate reporting of laboratory results while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and turnaround time requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens accurately according to laboratory protocols.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures in hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, immunology, and related disciplines.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological samples.
- Conduct instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Perform daily quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Review, validate, and maintain laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
- Adhere to NABL, CAP, ISO, and other applicable laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain turnaround time (TAT) targets for all assigned tests.
- Support pathologists and laboratory management in implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff when required.
- Required Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- DMLT/BMLT/MMLT qualification preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in a pathology or diagnostic laboratory.
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
- Experience working with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
